Russia is now officially and directly accusing the UK of being actual perp of the Nordstream pipeline sabotage--not necessarily acting alone, but the primary actual perp. So that's out there in public for Euros to make of what they will. They can thank the UK for sabotaging a supply of gas to Germany and, perhaps, beyond. Alternatively, they can blame the the UK for doing that. I'm guessing that won't win the UK any friends except in Poland.
We, the “west”. have been provoking this stupidity right from the beginning. Then we try to shift the blame to “the Russians”. Power, control, and money. That’s what this is all about.
Most of Ukrainian grain went to Europe - not to "poor countries" - Russia just said it will give away grain and fertilizer FOR FREE to friendly countries.
Another attack designed for the narrative of Ukraine is winning. Actually effect is minor. Timed for midterms.
Reminds me of all the British Raids on Coastal Europe during WW2. Great for showing the uk was doing something, but actual impact on the war was minor.
It looks like it is only a matter of time till Russia launches a few unmentionables. I wonder if the democrats, socialists and many republicans really believe that the 5 provinces that Russia controls in Ukraine are worth losing Houston and NY ? Or our entire electric grid! It seems like it’s all a script at this point....
Russia has no need. They are just waiting for the Ground to freeze in a few weeks and the Ukrainian forces to be bled a bit more, and then take the rest of the Russian speaking areas of Ukraine.
These minor operations, are more about the narrative of Ukraine winning.
Russia is not going to do anything significant till after the US midterm vote in 4 days.

Not only is the Grain Deal over - it is said RF will now target ANY NATO "HQ" in Ukraine - and perhaps even taking down US drones.

Putin is not going to help Biden in the midterms, so the safest action is wait 10 days. If Putin retaliates now, it would help Biden.
I’m not sure how Putin ending the Ukraine grain exports play into this.
