Alexander Mercouris of The Duran has been consistent all along in his commenting on the American war on Russia. The Neocons and their European vassals were convinced that they could quickly crush Russia with sanctions “shock and awe”. All they needed to do was to goad Russia into commencing military action to provide the pretext. Mercouris has frequently described the European euphoria prior to the war, at the Munich Security Conference, at the prospect of looting Russia of its natural resources after crushing the country. They got what they were wishing for—war. But their quick victory is turning into a long and painful defeat for NATO and the collective West. Once it became apparent that sanctions were a flop, and were instead generating blowback on a global scale, the Neocons doubled down on military war. Ukraine, they believed, would become another Afghanistan for Russia. But Mercouris consistently predicted that it would, instead, turn into a second Vietnam for the American Empire—complete with regime change for the puppet Kiev regime.
How's that "frozen conflict" going for you, Vicky? The delusion of the neocons remains intact. As you and the Two Alexs say, Russia is totally in control. I still wonder how much of Ukraine Russia will have to take to neutralise it as a base for neocon activities. As mentioned, Kiev and Odessa seem to be on the cards, but does Putin have to go all the way to the Western border to make sure the neocons never try the same thing there again?
If I were Putin, I definitely wouldn't leave a single inch of Ukraine "free". My only concern would be that I would be taking over a complete basketcase of a country and inheriting all the rebuilding costs and other problems. However, maybe that's a small price to pay if it keeps the neocons and Blackrock out. Meanwhile, I'd put my feet up and let General Time continue its blitzkrieg against the West.
I don't think the Poles are anywhere near crazy enough to try that. Their military is only a fraction of what Ukraine's was and they've seen what happened.
Why would an illegal immigrant want to become a US citizen...and give up his iPhone, travel, meal, and housing allowance...and have to start paying taxes!?!
I believe the Turks were originally the slave army of the caliphate, then they eventually took over the caliphate. But of course history has no meaning to these people.
Painful to imagine Odessa and Kiev going through the same flattening experienced by Bakhmut. I hope Vicki's happy - her home city will be speaking Russian for the remainder of her life.
"And would Russia allow Blackrock to do anything?"
After Yeltsin invited Harvard and Andrei Schleifer and Larry Summers and the State Department and Bill Browder in to 'rebuild' the country after the fall of the Soviet Union, I can't imagine Putin would ever let Blackrock or the Clintons near Ukraine...
Here's a must read for anybody who hasn't read it...
In the video it’s mentioning it’s taking 7 Ukrainian long range missiles to get a strike.
And many of the missiles are no li her in production, or at a minimum level.
So Ukraine is quickly depleting Western Stocks.
Plus Russian ammo storage strikes.

I wonder if reality will ever intrude upon the delusional fantasies of our very own Regime
“The CIA has a long history of obtaining the election results in foreign lands that they Deep State wants....”
Not just foreign lands anymore in my opinion.

Same as I was thinking.
These people would have little regard for American citizens

How significant do you think this is? If it’s real? https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/09/better-call-volga-10000-ukrainian-soldiers-surrender-using/
