Mark, An interesting article today on yahoo news (which I never read) about DHS failing to act on an intel report about Jan. 6.-- An intel analyst tried to prevent the Jan 6 attack --but DHS failed to act.

The implications are nefarious. Do you have a read on what was really going on? BTW, Thanks for all your excellent work, and best wishes for your wife's speedy recovery. BFH.

I only know what I read. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that it was a setup.

Not in the last 200 years has there been a more corrupt, slimy, treasonous political family than the Bidens, and after seeing what the Clinton's and Obama's have done, that's quite remarkable.

The number of those actually,

truly* supportive of and protecting Bidens in-your-face-corruption continues to dwindle but as an enterprise are still extraordinarily dangerous.

This play to 'go on offense' absolutely reeks of desperation.

Biden and his hard-core have become so reviled now it would not surprise me in the least to wake up and read he and his bunch have ended up like Nicolae Ceaușescu.

History will not be kind to the Bidens.

I think the Bush's could give them a run for their money

Burying SBF...targeting Tony Bobulinski...sounds like the Lawfare boys have been hard at work.

(I just checked the Lawfare website (https://www.lawfareblog.com/) to see what they've been up to in terms of self applause for their work in protecting Hunter (and Joe) Biden and Samuel Bankman-Fried...and more importantly, in protecting their puppeteers. Nothing there yet, but I'm not too worried...they can't resist for long reminding us how smart they are...)

And don't forget the big one coming up: indicting Trump. I'm sure they are hard at work behind the green curtain on that one.

@Steghorn

You are 100% right about that!

Brazilians have no guns but are on the streets protesting about massive election fraud. I wonder when we will do the same about the current insanity?

I saw some amazing videos yesterday of the pro-election integrity protests on the Copacabana and in Sao Paolo. Alas I cannot find them again but I think with a little searching on Twitter (but not on any mainstream media sites) some will be found. Suffice it to say they are impressively massive. Bolsinaro has given the military his blessing to act as the agents of the people. We shall see... but investors (based on their actions over the last day or two) seem to see the idea that Bolsinaro might get back in via civil unrest as a serious one).

@Steghorn

Its kinda the $64K Question, isn't it? When is enough insanity enough? Interestingly, my three adult children and their three spouses are all, notwithstanding the *best* educations money could buy at name brand schools and colleges, totally oblivious to the existential dangers you and I can see clearly staring us right in the face....

Cassander, I read "Interestingly" as "Not coincidentally." My sympathies. If anyone has the tools to educate them, you do. My best wishes to you in that (and all) respects. In the end, though their points of view are their responsibilities.

@dissonant

Do you have adult children? My oldest will be 40 next month. My ability to educate them, except by example, is minimal. That ship has sailed. My age group peers all say the same thing.

How about Mafiocracy? Or my favorite, Klepto-gerontocracy (this, BTW, is what the Soviet regime had transformed into by the late 70s).
