For example, getting district lines redrawn so Obama could win an election and get started in politics. They needed to draw up a district with more white liberals in it, because blacks could tell he wasn't authentic. Or getting the messy (but sealed) divorce files of his opponent released to the newspapers. That kinda stuff takes money and political clout.
From the political ads, all one can conclude is that all the candidates suck. The ads are everywhere - TV, my MLB.TV app, all over the internet - same old negative messages (but slickly produced). Always very uplifting. I'm glad I have a mute button and DVR. I just want the primaries to be over.
The IL Republican race has been interesting. Griffin's support for Irvin had put him in the early lead but now Citadel is leaving the state. Further, Pritzker propped up Bailey some time ago ($$) thinking it would be an easy win for re-election. I like Jesse Sullivan and voted for him today. Tried to convince my hard core wife but she's still seething over the Roe vs. Wade decision so I stay away.
Further, JB if I recall removed all his toilets from his gold coast home a few years ago to get tax breaks as the home was considered "unlivable". What a sleeze. When I ventured up to Lake Geneva for holiday last year (Wisconsin) had much lax Covid restrictions and JB could often be seen visiting the Mars restaurant near his farm outside Delavan. What a piece of crap. The whole family is weird, but I'm sure he will be re-elected.
Hillary and the media promoted Trump to be the GOP nominee in 2016 because (from their insular, pretentious point of view) they were sure that they could beat him. I hope Jabba the Governor has similarly miscalculated.

Tucker seems to have some leeway due to his high ratings, but there are some lines he is not allowed to cross. 2,000 mules is one of them.
