Can they not subpoena these individuals for interview/interrogation and get them on the record; plus produce all associated communications or other relevant documentation? Nothing will change until someone's ass is in a sling. DC should not be exempt.

So the Secret Service, which is explicitly tasked by law with the protection of former Presidents (as well as presumptive nominees for President) is absolved in this case because Trump should have known better than to entrust his security to them and should have taken over the security arrangements himself because they are not competent to do so?
