My worry is all this Ukraine/EU/Russia stuff is going to consume to much of Trump's time and take away from the domestic challenges e.g. inflation etc..

That's my worry too. However, things are moving fast. My worry is more that he won't carry out his threats like withdrawing funding from NATO, etc.

Cruz is sort of an enigma to me, ultimately Ted is all about Ted . . . I guess? I vaguely recall that the Wilks brothers funded Cruz rather generously.

He probably started out with good intentions but soon went over to the dark side. I remember Mitt Romney and even Jeb! begin talked about as the Great White Hopes of conservatism. Oh, well!

Ted Cruz wants defeat of both "Putin and Russia." How disgusting. What has Russia ever done to Ted Cruz? In 1990s US elites plundered newly independent Russia and left it for dead, laughing all the way. Mr. Putin saved his country at death's door. Ted Cruz should resign.

He's probably in on it already. I hope DOGE comes knocking on his door.

Bull’s eye! and Cruz may already be “in on” all the dirty money schemes, which explains his extreme animus towards Russia and Putin. Ted, you’re cruzin’ for a bruzin’!

Europe is certainly dangerous.

Looking at the talk of conscription I’m wondering if Europe is on the verge of establishing a radical leftist ‘Gendarmerie‘ an Azov parallel.

Macron is dangerous, as are the crazies in the C of L. Linked by money. That is why General de Gaulle did not like money - in government. He wasn’t opposed to monetary success in business. Honestly, we can rue the day when Hollande took Macron under his wing - Macron, whose sponsor is the nihilistic and vilanous Jacques Attali. Attali is the evil twin of Klaus Schwaub, a Machiavellian “éminence grise” behind the thrones of Mitterrand, Sarkozy, Hollande and Macron, whom he “invented,” paving the way for his career at the French Rothschild Bank. Attali has said: “History teaches us that humanity only evolves significantly when it is truly afraid.” Trump is in the fight of his, and our, lives.

I've just been scrolling through the raw sewage coming out of the mouths of Starmer and the unelected EU leadership about a new "coalition of the willing" to take on Russia and do what a million Ukrainians couldn't do. It's terrifying. My 3 brothers in the UK are all cock-a-hoop about the prospect of humbling Putin. All the EU nomenklatura sees is a once-in-a-life time chance to turn the ailing organisation into the respected superpower they believe it should be. They have no sense of awareness, political or historical, that taking on Russia with fragile economies, militia-style armies and disgruntled populations will guarantee failure. I'm starting to get the same feeling I had at the start of the Covid hysteria: that I'm surrounded by zombies!

The system is programmed to create and nurture malleable NPC's. Unfortunately, major trauma and it's aftermath is often the only way through that shit. Something much of the bellicose West is driven towards and actively courting. I'd say 'childhood's end', but this time it's more like an adolescent coming of age ritual or something. Kinda reminiscent of that scene in "Gone With The Wind" where the snot nosed future Confederate boys were all gung ho to fight the Union. You are Rhett Butler in this scenario.

Very interesting overview. Yes, it's impossible to deny that Trump has some very powerful enemies. The question is how they will get back at him. At the moment, they are in shock, but that will pass. Trump has at least drawn the sting of one possible source of opposition, the armed forces, by starting the process of kicking out the activists in uniform. The activist judges will also soon face their Waterloo if and when Scotus wades in. Another direction of attack may be another impeachment move. That could be tricky if worms like Cruz and other Deep State GOPers (tautology!) join the Dems. It's hard to believe now that Cruz was once the Next Big Thing of the GOP, isn't it?

I was a Cruz guy back in the day. I readily dismissed that Trump guy in 2015. I took my son to go see Trump at one of his early rallies in Central Illinois in 2015 for pure entertainment purposes only. How far we’ve come in ten short years. Wow! What a long strange trip it’s been.

I find it interesting that with Prince Harry moving to America, he has essentially removed himself from all the intrigue going on in Britain. Yet I believe it was totally unintentional; in that it was Meghan who could not stand all the rules and regulations. What will become of the Royal family with Britain increasingly becoming a more Muslim nation? The Royals are like inhabitants of a "zoo", they are there to be looked at but not regarded significantly any more.

Agreed. Trump 2.0 is as different from Trump 1.0 as chalk and cheese. The key this time is that - apart from Bondi - he has a top-notch team behind him. Having added this pearl of wisdom, I'll now go back to watching Europe commit suicide.

Considering the relative caliber of the rest of Trump's team, I have to wonder if Bondi isn't a (unwitting) placeholder, as part of a larger strategy for eventually installing a much more controversial, and hopefully kick ass pick.

Maybe, Candis. However, everything Trump and his team are doing now is controversial, so I don't understand why he didn't go for broke and throw a kick ass pick right in there. I also wonder what two supposedly real kick-asses, Patel and Bongino are up to. Their silence doesn't chime well with how the rest of Team Trump is doing business. Maybe there is a lot more going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. The FBI and the CIA are the attack dogs of the Deep State, and like those other pitbulls, the activist judges, they need to be defanged.
