I never had the inclination to read them, but all this puts me in mind of what I've read about the premise of the Left Behind books. Are we the ones who have been "left behind"?

Ritter’s remarks on our Navy’s real state as well as the continuing revelations from Nashville, along with of course the West’s dishonest and murderous posturing vis a vis RF and Ukraine are all connected: Everything is a made-up reality, a lie: we are witnessing the obliteration of truth and virtue, the demolition of an ancient moral code (the legacy of many a saint, church father/mother, spiritual tradition, liturgy, ritual sacred or profane) - replaced by all the evils of mankind, taking shape in the chaos in the economic, financial, legal, public health, military, educational sectors - flagrantly endorsed and promoted by our hapless and delusional power-hungry rulers. It makes you wonder how long we can endure? Truly I never imagined we could fall so low and become so alien to each other…sorry if I repeat somewhat Klavan and Boose…two articles I couldn’t as yet bring myself to read!

It's puzzling how the levels of anger in our society have increased as our society has become safer, more affluent and softer. There's a PHd study in there somewhere.

Respectfully, how is it surprising? Our society is submerged, slathered in fear-porn. It's in virtually every channel of mass media you can name, owned by the same 5-6 conglomerates.

Indeed. The newspaper model was to alarm the reader with the content of page 4 with, facing it on page 5, a soothing advertisement promising to make things better with the shiny new thing.

Prior to that the 'papers' were snake oil adverts front and back... the 'news' was added a while later to make baiting the suckers a bit easier. Even The Times of London, purportedly the world's finest 'paper (hah), started that way.

Every form of media since follows this model.

Wow, I don't think I have the courage to watch any more of this stuff, Amanda. Truly scary stuff.

The worst part is at the end when the kids are asked their thoughts and they say that at first it was weird but then they realised it was 'completely normal'. Strange times.

Regarding targeting: perhaps at this point in history with the current regime it should be assumed that all sources such as Substack are really data collection and sorting with regard to a spectrum of loyalty/opposition to the regime. Also sort thinkers/thought leaders/leaders from absorbers of information. How will this comment affect my file? How about liking this comment?

When people have a tool, they use it. Governments love control. Nothing new but the total efficiency of digital technologies that create the potential for total control. Human interface imperfections can be a problem, but other than that... If you see any balancing factors, please let me know. I need to improve the quality of my sleep.

As one of the twitter posts said above: time to stand up. These people are evil, so to hell with them and my social credit score!

Off topic, but Thomas Lifson mentioned you in his article this morning, if you missed it.

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/04/trumps_indictment_creates_a_new_era_for_the_gop_swamp_republicans_hardest_hit.html

His thoughts are that the GOP Swamp creatures cannot stop the whirlwind that is about to descend upon the democrats by Republican state AGs going after democrats who are more provably guilty of criminal offenses than Trump is in the charade being proffered by AG Bragg.

Republicans and whirlwind-like activity don't go together. If a Dem ex-Potus was getting this treatment, every Dem member of Congress would be raising hell.

Does make you wonder whether there's some sort of targeting going on.

AI can review, sort and target rather readily. I know you're no easy target: tho' being a target is still a concern for you of mine. Best regards Mark. (WrH)
