This afternoon Zerohedge republished two impassioned cries for Zhou’s impeachment. The first is by James Howard Kunstler, who seems convinced that the GOP House will pull the trigger come September:

"Way Worse Than Watergate" - All Aboard The Impeachment Express

The second is by Victor Davis Hanson:

Save The Rule Of Law By Destroying It?

If you need to be reminded of how low this country and its Ruling Class has sunk, of how sleazy the entire Zhou family, of how impeachable Zhou himself is, go ahead and read this stuff. The fact of the matter is that Zhou was impeachable immediately upon the farcical oath of office that he took. Impeachability has never been the issue with Zhou. Nobody knew that better than one of the guys who was instrumentable in installing Zhou in the Oval Office: Bluto Barr. Now Bluto’s good friend—or vice versa—Jon. Turley is daily beating the drums for an impeachment committee.

Me? I remain of two minds. In a normal America Zhou would have slunk out of the White House leaving a resignation letter on the desk behind him, just on the strength of public revulsion. Guess what? This isn’t a normal America—not by a long shot. Hanson is particulary good on that score, again, if you need to have your recollection refreshed. The great unwashed of the American public has been so debauched that they seem unable to discern the swamp our republic has descended into.

It seems to me that the needful question is: What would impeachment—or in the alternative, non-impeachment—do for the good of the country?

Might not impeachment simply permit Americans to continue living a delusion, that a new Ruling Class appointed president will somehow make everything better? Might not non-impeachment be more therapeutic—driving home the point of how bad things really are?

Then, again, there’s this consideration. Might impeachment—or forced resignation—serve as the basis for a Uniparty deal: One faction gets to take out Zhou, and in return the other faction is allowed to fiddle with the rule of law to keep Trump out?

From this standpoint I still tend toward the alternative of leaving Zhou in place and letting the Ruling Class own him.
