Traditional Catholics of a certain age—you know, enemies of the State in America—will remember the days when we said prayers after Mass for the conversion of Russia. That went back to 1917 and Our Lady of Fatima—Fatima being a small town in Portugal. Without going into all that—non-Catholic readers will bear with me—one has to wonder whether it’s time to redirect. After all, is it not possible that the prayers for the conversion of Russia have been answered, as far as that’s possible on this earth? Consider:
Russia to protect its children against spiritual degradation, Putin pledges

According to the Russian president, millions of people in the West realize they are being led to a "real spiritual disaster"
MOSCOW, February 21./TASS/. Russia will protect its children against spiritual degradation and decay, President Vladimir Putin said in his State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly on Tuesday.
"We have to protect our children. And we will do this, we will protect our children from degradation and degeneration," Putin stressed.
According to the president, millions of people in the West realize they are being led to a "real spiritual disaster." "The elites, frankly speaking, are going crazy, and it seems that there is no cure in sight. But that's their problem," the Russian leader stressed.
He also drew attention to the Anglican Church's proposal to consider the idea of a "gender-neutral" God. "What is there to say? Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing," he added.
So what’s up with our Conciliar clergy? Shouldn’t we be praying now for the conversion of America? Or wherever we live in the collective West?

If in the mid 90's someone would have told me how the 2020's looked, well you can imagine.
Roles have literally been flipped. A 180 for each side, except propaganda has literally exploded and the truth virtually smothered. And to think more than half of America thinks Putin bad, we are good.
It is truly sobering when you see the leader of another country who is supposedly our enemy espousing the very standards the defined the American republic for over 200 years. And even more sobering is it to listen to the President of the United States and members of his party espousing vile and contemptible ideas that were not talked about in polite society a mere handful of years ago. The moral and intellectual incongruity of this mindset leaves me wondering how we survive the coming darkness that is sure to follow in the wake of this conduct.
Interesting times to be sure, but sad and sobering times as well.
