How crazy. This crazy. Mike Pompeo is on a rampage, like a rogue elephant. He’s advocating arming Ukraine to win a “decisive” victory over Russia. And if Russia uses “tactical” nukes in that event—recall from yesterday that Doug Macgregor maintains that “tactical” as applied to nukes is a delusion, that it will rapidly escalate—well, we’ll show Putin. We’ll sanction the living stuff out of China. That will also show China and everyone else in the world who’s boss. I’m not kidding. He said all this—and more—in the Washington Times:
America and NATO must seek a decisive victory for Ukraine. Victory must be attained quickly on Ukraine’s terms.
The war can be won if America and the West supply our most capable conventional weapons to Kyiv.
… we must hold the People’s Republic of China accountable economically and financially if Mr. Putin were to detonate a nuclear weapon …
China must be put on notice immediately: If Mr. Putin uses a nuclear weapon, America will devastate the Chinese economy through our cessation of trade and capital investments.
Our immediate provision of conventional weapons of decisive lethality to Ukraine is critical to ending this conflict swiftly, …
So, Pompeo—and just a reminder, he was head of CIA and then SoS for Trump—is advocating that we initiate a game of nuclear chicken. He’s betting Putin will blink.
A writer at American Thinker accurately comments:
Mike Pompeo and the Guns of October
Pompeo advocates that the U.S. provide Ukraine with “conventional weapons of decisive lethality,” and mentions tanks and fighter aircraft. He also writes that we and our allies should declare that “actions to liberate parts of Ukraine, held by Russia under the charade of false referendums, do not constitute an attack on Russia,” as if that declaration will somehow prevent Russia’s leaders from viewing them that way.
Pompeo, in other words, wants to put the ball in Putin’s and Xi’s court. Putin’s use of a nuclear weapon against Ukraine, under Pompeo’s scenario, will risk the outbreak of World War III, with the United States fighting a two-front war in Europe and the Pacific -- just as we did in World War II. Except this war will be a war between several nuclear powers and involve military operations across the vast Eurasian landmass, at sea, in the air, and in outer space. China’s leaders will not sit back as we “devastate” their economy. Novelists have written about it. Our military services have repeatedly “gamed” it with results unfavorable to the United States. And all this over Ukraine?
Is Pompeo serious? Or is he maybe preparing an “I was the one who told everyone so” talking point to fuel his presidential aspirations? Who knows? Here’s the lesson: Do not let this guy anywhere remotely near the levers of power. Pompeo was another one of Trump’s big personnel mistakes.
The fact is, however, that unbeknownst to most of the American public, we’re already on the brink—Russia is making it very clear that they regard the US as a combatant in Ukraine, with Ukraine (and presumably the US) now attacking Russian land:
The “enormous amount of coordination” between the US is undertaking in order to kill Russians may not be “fully visible” to the public, but you can bet it’s plenty visible to the Russians. Remember the hoax about Russia putting a bounty on US personnel in Afghanistan? Remember the US shelling Russians in Syria? Putin remembers all that, too, and he knows all about the current “coordination”.
Speaking of “enormous amount[s] of coordination,” remember Radek Sikorski’s tweet, “Thanks, USA” regarding the pipeline sabotage? Alex Krainer wants to remind you of who Sikorski really is—beyond being loony Anne Applebaum’s husband. The context for these tweets is not the pipeline sabotage, although that’s surely in the background, but the Polish demand via diplomatic note for huge reparations from Germany:
The tape Krainer is referring to below was made, secretly, in 2014 at a time that Rostowski was the Polish Minister of Finance. Kinda shows how much of this was planned out years in advance:
Krainer also wants to remind us of the gangsta tactics we employ and our gangsta pals:
For example, the Czechs foolishly supported Ukraine and presumably don’t support the accession of the four oblasts to the Russian Federation. Look how that’s working out for them:
Gotta luv this one, for anyone getting their “news” on Ukraine from UK outlets:
And finally, just wondering—does this strike anybody besides me as really nuts?
Does anyone besides me wonder, what the hell is going on at the actual ruling level of our regime?
This would be a very significant development, basic as it is. It would be a sign that Putin is making the shift from SMO to war:
MI-6 transmitted intelligence to the Office of the President and the General Staff about the transfer of Russian space forces to combat readiness, the Kremlin gave the go-ahead to destroy satellites over Ukraine.

Leaked White House talking points say an OPEC oil cut would be a “total disaster” & propose threatening OPEC members.
**A U.S. official said the White House is “having a spasm & panicking.”**
All to avoid more domestic oil production.
