The same emotion over reason dynamic fuels Trump Derangement Syndrome. I give you Sam Harris, who ironically prides himself on his rationality, stating that anything (including dead children in basements) is preferred to the monster Trump. And what is has this monster done? Trump University. Once I asked my nephew for a good local place for breakfast. He said, "Well XX is best but I never go there because they have a Trump sign in the window." When I asked why that would stop him, he said, "Because Trump hates all human beings." I looked for a tell-tale smile but didn't see one.

The transgender part of that made me think of a guy, can't remember his name right now, a politician for sure though. He said something like, "You're entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts." Churchill maybe?? Human nature is eternal and irrepressible. Attempts to change or modify it will always fail.

Whether the issue is war or gender ideology, most anti-reality beliefs come from the four fallacies of postmodernism:

"* The moralistic fallacy assumes that whatever seems morally desirable must be true. If something is undesirable, it must be false.

* The naturalistic fallacy assumes that whatever seems true must be morally desirable.

* The rationalistic fallacy assumes that whatever seems to make sense must be true, even if there’s no evidence for it.

* The existentialist fallacy assumes that reality is whatever you want it to be. It is loosely suggested by the philosophy of existentialism, which argues that people must define the meaning of their own lives. It’s also a kind of 'get out of jail free' card to justify the other fallacies. For example, it enables 52-year-old men to claim that they are six-year-old girls and make everyone else pretend to believe it."

On March 24, a month after Russian tanks rolled across Ukraine’s borders, the Biden White House summoned America’s partners (as its allies are now called) to a civilizational crusade. The administration proclaimed its commitment to those affected by Russia’s recent invasion—“especially vulnerable populations such as women, children, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTQI+) persons, and persons with disabilities.”

"In war and peace, human capital is everything. " “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” If it were only transgenderism, which most of us can avoid in our private lives, we would not be spiraling downward. But no, " the reality of an objective human nature has been banned from our policy making discourse." As a result, our 'leaders' have lost the troops. They have neither our trust nor our respect. This amazing article points out what is fundamentally wrong with America, and why in the crises that are coming, economically and socially, they can expect the American public to act as individuals, with no concern for bailing out Washington for their disastrous decisions.

I was just reading about islamists and how similar they are to the identitarians. Rushdie and Rowling--both targets for blasphemy from two tyrannical religions: Islam and Woke. Your article ties into this nicely.

"...it really is compassion, empathy, unhinged from any form of rational introspection and assessment of the evidence,...And it is made possible socially by the total valorization of compassion as an emotion unmoored from any external standards."

Thus, kids who have been brainwashed into gender dysphoria must be celebrated or they will kill themselves!

This morning on Warrroom, there was a clip of a teacher (or school board member?) and she was weeping because she was so upset that De Santis was stopping schools from warping the children with Woke ideology. It was awful to watch: mental illness so publicly on display by someone in charge of the kids, and her completely oblivous. Insanity.

And that little boy with the trans-"parents" deciding at 4 he was a she, and by 10 a runway model. Sick. But we must not judge, right? Ugh.

“If other ages felt less, they saw more, even though they saw with the blind, prophetical, unsentimental eye of acceptance, which is to say, of faith. In the absence of this faith now, we govern by tenderness. It is a tenderness which, long cut off from the person of Christ, is wrapped in theory. When tenderness is detached from the source of tenderness, its logical outcome is terror. It ends in forced-labor camps and in the fumes of the gas chamber.” — Flannery O'Connor

The up surge in pharmaceuticals, the insistence that all military personnel should be vaccinated may play a much larger role than ever suspected. Putin did say a short while ago that he was astounded at the EU and US propensity to drug and intoxicate their young people. He also remarked on the contamination of foods with GMOs and other chemical compounds like glyphosate.

Your daughter should not be doing any homework at all other than 15 minutes of math fact drill and some reading related to current studies. And then reading for pleasure. With a book - not a computer. A school that does its job properly does not need to give homework - they have kids for 6+ hours a day - if they can't get job done in that amount of time they are not really in the business of educating. Adults get paid overtime for more than 8 hours of work - but kids are supposed to do hours of homework? AFTER SCHOOL IS OUT? They need to be doing other things outside of school with their time. Sports, hobbies, a part time job, helping around the house, laying on the grass and looking at clouds, whatever.

I know not everyone can or wants to, but once I started home schooling and broke free of the 'educational establishment' I could not believe what a scam it is. They could at least be honest about it - 'Give us your kids (and your money) for 6 hours a day and we'll send them home with a load of busywork so you can become a nag doing our job for us. And don't forget this month's fundraiser!'

I don't blame your daughter one bit.
