Seems like both channels are going overboard on covering those “brave” Ukrainian fighters against those “dastardly” Ruskies. And a bit on the poor refugees.
The amount of propaganda, and lack of meaningful information, was amazing. The post here is such a contrast.
Charles Gave is far from the only guy out there who understands this. That's why the "another point of view" that Old Frank cites above isn't so much a POV as whistling through the graveyard. Sanctions won't truly bite if you destroy the dollar-centric system--which is what we're doing.
That writer doesn't look like an industrial expert. Beyond that, however, "eventually" is a pretty vague term. "Eventually" a lot of bad things can happen if nothing changes. Russia can exist for a long time, making very sophisticated weaponry, while "cut off." However, the bad things that would happen to the West if cut off from Russian energy, wheat, and mineral resources would happen RIGHT NOW--not eventually.
