I occasionally surf some Qanon supporting websites, mainly just for a bit of light relief to see how they are spinning this. For them, Trump is an American Gary Kasparov, playing some deep chess game, and always 19 moves ahead of the bumbling Deep Staters. However, I think at this point, we just have to accept our lying eyes: Trump has gone to the dark side. How much more evidence do we need? He backs Johnson and is perfectly fine with bromancing those who tried to destroy them. He's even fine with the FISA renewal (and reinforcing) - the very tool that started off his legal calvary!

I am starting to think Lew Rockwell may be right. Trump is playing the part of Rebel Leader but he’s not real. Look at who he appointed during his first term as President - all swamp creatures, and look at how little he really achieved. I desperately hope this isn’t true but I’m mindful of the old saying: “actions speak louder than words”. https://www.lewrockwell.com/2024/03/no_author/trumpenstein-and-the-death-of-politics/

The most charitable interpretation is that he is weak and easily manipulated. However, even if that were true, it makes him useless in the upcoming fight.

Opinion seconded on the Davis video. Terrific all the way through. Maddening, disgusting, depressing, and energizing. I would like to send this to a certain assortment of Congress-critters but I learned long ago that if you don't have the money they don't have the time, and I got tired of reading form letter responses from staff. I'm ashamed to have become as quiescent as I have in that regard.

The only thing I can think of is that Trump is defusing the objections of the Deep State to his reelection. He may be playing them a bit, albeit in a way that makes us very uncomfortable. The tale of the Trojan Horse comes to mind. You can’t act to make big changes unless you are elected. And if you want to be elected, the practical answer, however distasteful, is to at least appear to be supportive of the Deep State’s wishes and policies. If he were to openly oppose them now, he will be defeated electorally one way or another. He learned that in 2020. If you doubt they would do it again. . . . . .

That's my view. However, Trump being Trump, if he thinks he can do a complete volte-face in Jan 2025 and go rogue MAGA, he's delusional. Once he is owned by AIPAC and the neocons (wasn't that a 70's rock band), they won't let go of him. He'll be more of a Trojan hamster.

That's the optimistic view for sure. And he is a pragmatist. Still, I don't like to see statements that bring into question his core principles, without clarity or resolution. Pretty soon people will start wondering what they are actually voting for if they vote for him.

There could be some misdirection in play.

Good ol’ “strategic ambiguity”? Although how’d that work out for Microbe?!

Thanks, Mark. Much appreciated if not enjoyed.

One has to wonder at this point.... which is the Real Trump?? TL says Trump is a mercantilist above all else.

I've been listening to that. Most of the world is mercantilist--tariffs helped make America great in the first place. Fact. TL is a pretty doctrinaire libertarian:

Don’t mean to be offensive either, but the presidency is now (and perhaps since November 1963) fully owned, run and operated by the CIA/Deep State brigade, whose role in forever wars has been mercilessly and accurately exposed in MIH!

Got to disagree with you, ML. The CIA/Deep state are the enforcers and secret service or to use an old phrase the Gestapo. That is a term people understand. The government is led by rich elites who were placed in positions to enact policies that favor their small cabal of psychopaths. We think we elected them , ha, the jokes on us. They direct the gestapo to disrupt the masses world-wide with war which feeds the lust for money and of the over lords. They fit together like hand in glove.

The pieces of the puzzle are all fitting, to the detriment of our freedoms, together.

That is what it is looking like. The AntiSemitism law is a key that opens the door to disaster.

For years there has been an incremental creep in policy and law-making that is designed to protect the base of the Democratic Party (African-Americans, Hispanics, Jews, women, LGBTQ+, Muslims, physically/mentally challenged) to the disadvantage of Conservatives and specifically white [Christian] Americans. White Democrats are so obsessed with their race/gender/other ideology they do not recognize they a sowing their own destruction. I have been writing for quite some time and it's becoming our reality (Mark mentioned this in a recent essay) "you know who your oppressors by who you cannot criticize," this bill put forth by a White Republican evangelical Christian (allegedly) that solidifies the protection of our oppressor and that will unleash hell upon us. There you have the cabal and the enforcers doing the bidding of those whom you do not criticize. Will their be push back before the shite hits the fan? good question.

It's the hate laws that were the witting key to political correctness, in place of fair law enforcement. Now mere enforcement for virtue signaling opportunists whose wishes are horses and pigs are flying.

I know what you mean. The protected are thus able to accuse for any perceived slight no matter how trivial and the hungry Zionists of lawfare will attempt to ruin you on their behalf. What goes around eventually comes around, let us be all hopeful.

Yes, very grim indeed, as you and Mark in his many posts have pointed out.

Has the world properly condemned what world Zionism did to the Palestinians in the Nakba and then for 75 more years? If you have never personally experienced such violence and evil it's hard to get your head around it. As Max Blumenthal notes, Zionists seem to have a very sick and lurid sexual fantasy life.
