This morning Karl Denninger picks up on the latest report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics - Productivity and Costs, First Quarter 2023, Preliminary. The stats are almost startlingly bad—the worst since these stats have been kept, starting in 1948—despite the neutral bureaucratic language. KD strikes the note:
Was reading today in the new King’s ceremony there is a point where they simulate taking someone to the gulag to be admonished for free speech. Anyone recall reading this! Twitter or RedState I’m thinking.
I watched the Coronation. There was nothing remotely like what you describe.
There was this, to me, anyway voluntary oath of allegiance. I thought it odd.
Charles changed his ceremony so that only Prince William, his heir performed the traditional oath of allegiance to the monarch. Previously all the Dukes of the Kingdom swore the oath.
I am not sure if it is the same as the feudal act of fealty
For those in England who admire the monarchy, they should hope Charles doesn't last. William and his wife appear to take the royal role more seriously. Charles is a leftist fool who will diminish what his mother tried so steadfastly to uphold. A long reign by this doofus and his "queen" will only hasten the demise of The Firm.
I have two cousins who are nurses. Was speaking to them about it recently and they said the situation is really bad. I got the impression that a lot of them are quite hacked off by the treatment they got.
The economic situation will never, I mean never folks, get real here, be straightened out until and unless some difficult but necessary things happen. Governments must stop deficit spending. Speculation of all types must be curtailed. Unbalanced trade must be kept in check. Real, stable money must be in circulation. Criminals must suffer consequences. Productivity must be rewarded. Individual merit must be paramount. Property rights must be respected. Citizens must have all civil and human rights, not groups. Corporate entities must never have inherent rights, except for equal treatment under law.
I am not real into British royalty--too much of my heritage is Scots-Irish. (If you don't know what that means, hunt up the book on the Scots-Irish by Senator Jim Webb, "Born Fighting.") But this is the first time the Brits have had a king named Charles since the 1600s! There were good reasons why no one used that name. Charles I was one of the worst kings they ever had, and provoked a civil war. He finally ended up beheaded. His son Charles II managed to keep his head. But he had no legitimate heirs, and his brother James II got kicked off the throne after three years. An effort by James' grandson, "Bonnie Prince Charlie," to recover the throne in 1745 did not work out, and did not help the Stuart family reputation either.
Yep - I clocked the blue and yellow while flicking through the news. Add the colour programming to the fact that Mrs Zelensky was photographed with Catherine and Dr Jill at Buck Pal the night before the special hat party and I'm even more convinced Z man is going to show up in Britain this week.
In my lifetime, (I'm 73 years old) healthcare has evolved from doctors working out of small offices with one or two staffers, and hospitals that were local non-profits, to Big Business. My own primary physician had to give up his own practice; he now operates out of a clinic with half a dozen doctors and it seems like fifteen or twenty staffers. And the clinic is tied to a national chain of hospitals. And of course, the drug business is now known as Big Pharma. But we are also seeing the fruits of the decline in ethics that has been going on since the 1960s. It started with the Sexual Revolution, but it did not stop there. In the late '70s I was taking business classes at a branch campus of the University of Cincinnati. One day my accounting prof came into class fuming, and he opened up to us about why he was mad. The University was changing what it was teaching for business ethics--and he thought the changes were for the worse, not better. In the next few years, as older executives retired and were replaced with younger ones, I saw the results--and I got out of my old business and into something where I was dealing with homeowners. The work wasn't as steady, but I got paid more reliably.
Consortium News published a letter yesterday, penned by Julian Assange (really?) inviting the just crowned monarch to visit his “kingdom within a kingdom,” Belmarsh. Quite eery, if true, and sends chills.
The police were apparently using new powers afforded them under a new Policing/ Public order bill. I think they've misused them because the protestors were doing nothing but gathering with some banners. If police aren't found to have misused their powers then we are in for worrying times.

GM sells cars. Mercedes/BMW make cars.
Similarly:
“Biden”/Ukraine/Military Indistrial complex sell war.
Russia makes war.
Selling vs making: Results hitting the road soon!

Hmm…
Syria officially welcomed back into Arab League. There are conditions, but my guess window dressing.

US State Department: Syria's return to the Arab League was too early.
Seems there opinion doesn't count for much any more.
Why?
To me it was another message to the US.
Additional, Non pc, reasons for Productivity Decline:
4. Impact of vaccine injuries
5. Impact of jab fascism / requirements on employee morale.
6. PTSD in healthcare workers due to Covid. There is a Huge nursing shortage now.
7. Leaving by burned out workers due to Covid and Woke policies.
I have two cousins who are nurses. Was speaking to them about it recently and they said the situation is really bad. I got the impression that a lot of them are quite hacked off by the treatment they got.
I deal a lot with nurses here and in my experience discussion about the shots and masks is verboten.

Charlie is currently in a honeymoon period but he isn't well liked here. He'll show his true colours soon enough.

Hey Charlie,
With all due respect, ( none whatsoever ), take your net zero intellect on a long walk off of a short pier.
I can’t. I really can’t.

The "doctors" who willingly mutilate children and call it "care" deserve to be treated as what they are - worthy of the needle. Or a firing squad.

NVM my previous comment. This is it.

Maybe they have been studying the J6 outrages over here and figure if we can do it they can do it.
