Slow news day, so far. A few items worth noting popped up. First, commenter Stephen McIntyre retweeted this—it’s very relevant for the election, of course. It’s a salutary reminder of the harm to America wrought by Never Trumpers, and none more than Turtle McConnell and Bluto Barr. I presume that Mahncke had the Ukraine - NATO debacle, but it also pairs well with a news item from Palestine. Bear in mind that Jake Sullivan appears to actively direct US military ops around the world—he has said that he was the one who ordered Patriot batteries to be taken from around the world and sent for destruction in Ukraine:
One day, it will be revealed that this assessment was even more accurate than I realized at the time.

Hans Mahncke @HansMahncke
The fact that Sullivan was allowed to ascend to the office from which he's currently destroying the world is in large part due to the total failure to hold Russiagate conspirators accountable.
And the latest from Palestine—presumably Sullivan was involved in the original decision and will have a voice in handling this “request”:
If they indeed send a second THAAD, Iran could give a massive blow to the US by taking out the two of them. USA has reportedly only 7 Thaad.
Next, two statements from Putin that have geopolitical significance. The video clips appear to be from some sort of press conference:
[Smiling] When NATO gets tired of war with us—you should ask them. We are prepared to continue this fight and victory will be ours.
[Not smiling] The main method of resolving the Palestinian issue is the creation of a fully fledged Palestinian state.
And lastly, the Houthis remain unimpressed with B-2s and bunker busting bombs—other reports state that the ship is German owned. That may be significant, in that Germany has been active with its navy off the coast of Lebanon:
The Yemeni Armed Forces announce they've targeted the container ship "Megalopolis" with a number of Kamikaze Drones, as the company that owns it trades with Israel.
The Ship comes from Spain and went all around Africa to avoid beeing targeted. It had switched off AIS signal since 2-3 days.
Regarding Yahya Sinwar’s death, Danny Davis offers 5 minutes of sensible commentary to Scripp News:
Whatever one thinks of Hamas, it’s clear that Sinwar died fighting heroically—above ground, not hiding in a tunnel, resisting to the last. The images that Israel is disseminating will make Sinwar a martyr figure throughout the region—which is especially not good for the US. It also focuses attention on Israeli genocide with only weeks to go before the election. That’s not the kind of publicity the Dems want, given that the anti-war vote could be critical in several swing states that typically go Blue.
Will Schryver @imetatronink
Now Israel is begging for another THAAD battery before they launch their super-duper Iran-crushing strike.
Interpretation: they KNOW they can't disarm the Iranians with a single strike — not even if the US joins the fray with all its available might.
The Israelis are scared.
So what if those anti-war votes in blue states are critical and do swing them away from Harris? Could Trump do anything to stop the genocide? Would he?
