While it may seem that things have settled down, in reality the conflict is simply deepening. An overall assessment would seem to indicate that Russia is making steady progress on most fronts—economic as well as military. A brief story at Zerohedge reveals from the mouth of a highly authoritative source that the sanctions regime is a complete joke. The European nations are going through the motions, talking the talk, but in the real world they’re doing what they can to maintain their Russian energy supplies. The problem is, they’re having to do so at greater expense, causing harm to their economies:
It will be interesting (and likely horrifying) to see how the West strings out the conflict when there are no Ukrainians left to fight. Is the Polish leadership willing to become the new lackeys? I'm glad you are leaning negative on that, Mark.
By and large the reality of losing the war, the boomerang effect of the sanctions, and the real world risks of attacking a nuclear power are starting to infringe on the fantasy world of Davos' totalitarian dreams and the fake money and assets world of Central Bankers. You can bet they will start looking for the exits as soon as they have prepared the next global emergency as a new excuse for continued artificial monetary expansion. After all they want a CONTROLLED demolition of the world economy, not one that spins out of their control.
The second half or so of this video has Alex Mercouris giving his views on Draghi's trip to DC. Basically he outlines the high degree of disunity in the EU and the extreme pressure on the EU caused by the sanctions--especially on Germany.
Often I don't know who to believe. I read an article at American Greatness this morning - Makubin Owens was the author - about how Ukraine is pushing the Russians back from Kiev and is only 10 ks from the Russian border. So who is winning this thing? Ugh!!
Agreed. I read Owens and I've been an avid WW2 guys since I was a kid. His claim is that Russian officers -battalion commanders and above, including General officers - won't give subordinates the freedom to command as they see fit. Its one of the reasons the early part of WW2 was so disastrous for them. Its part of their culture though. I also hear the MacGregor guys talk about how Putin tried to pussy foot around earlier in an effort at seeming magnanimous. Didn't work out too well did it? Seems the Russians are trying to fight an American-style limited war. I have said this before here but will once again. Armies are for killing/breaking things. When you turn them loose it needs to be for real and all the way. American civilian leadership has been pussyfooting around since WW2. We don't fight to win anymore and it's sad to watch. War should be a last resort but, once decided upon it should be all the way until unconditional surrender. Germany and Japan surrendered because their armies, industrial power and WILL TO FIGHT had been destroyed. You pound a nation until its will to resist is destroyed. When we decide to fight a war like that then...well, I think its just the way it outta be.
Not sure if this is breaking news but Andrei Martyanov is linking to stories today indicating that Ukraine's gas supplier has informed Europe that no, further natural gas can be sent through the pipelines connecting Russian gas w EU customers.
Get that? Nothing. Nyet. Nevermind the farcical sanctions regime, Clown Boy Z has essentially told Europe their economies are now hostage. Ukraine has lame excuses for the cutoff (which Russia's Gazprom totally disputes), but the effect is going to be devastating.
More devastating, however, is Martuanov's assessment that the gas cutoff is a direct order from the DC Regime to beat the hell outta Europe until they toe the Regime line. Nothing like allies, huh?
Just watched a Scott Ritter video with condensed history of Ukraine and he finally tied all the pieces together for me. Then he focussed on Finland and their request to enter NATO. He minces no words on how bad a decision this is for the entire world. Well worth the 45 min to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciUNBIKNxMw&t=121s
Right, and he wants you to think that that can be fixed in a matter of weeks, with another 40k troops stood up with state of the art training and weaponry.

I know you read Geroman and Russians with Attitude as do I. Pretty similar factual references to these statements.

The Finland thing is quite nuts.
And the certainty of them then accepting American troops on their soil.

1. All members of Cong are actively seeking campaign funding for Nov.
2. US military supplies sent to Ukraine come mostly from US defense industry.
3. $40 billion in Ukr support = sales by US defense industry to US Govt ->"Lend-Lease" to Ukr.
4. Campaign donations in return.

Poland incorporating any part of Ukraine is simply not rational. Nothing but trouble. The West of Ukraine is the Nazi hell hole--not Kiev.
