US hypersonic missile test off Hawaii ends in failure

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4075266/posts

"DoD says delivering hypersonic weapons remains a top priority for them. They are confident to be on track to field offensive and defensive hypersonic capabilities on target dates beginning in the early 2020s."

It won't be long before we're in the mid 2020s.

WW3 starts when Turkey allows a carrier group through the Bosphorus. Behind the scenes wheels are in motion.

The only place the sea powers have an advantage over the world island is in the waters of the Black Sea.

No way in hell that

1) Turkey would allow a CVBG through the Bosphorus, and

2) the leadership of the USN/DoD would accept such a hair-brained idea to begin with

Bottling up a CVBG in the Black Sea is not now nor ever will be on the table. N.E.V.E.R.

Russia can take an entire carrier group out with tactical nukes on a hypersonic missile.

Snake Island seems like a switch and bait to draw the British.

Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea

And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee

Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff

And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff

Oh, Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea

And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail

Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff's gigantic tail

Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came

Pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name

Oh, Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea

And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee

A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys

Painted wings and giant's rings make way for other toys

One gray night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more

And Puff, that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain

Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane

Without his lifelong friend, Puff could not be brave

So Puff, that mighty dragon, sadly slipped into his cave

Oh, Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea

And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee

'NATO is just a shadow of its former self.' Obama enlisted NATO to assist his goals in Libya. Obama used NATO to help bomb Libya until NATO ran out of bombs. Washington Post April 15, 2011 "NATO runs short on some munitions in Libya". That NATO was used to fight a third world country, one which had not attacked a NATO member, indicated then that NATO was rudderless. Nothing has changed since. NATO is like the UN in that it's a debating club that never resolves anything.

and recall Clinton's use of NATO in Serbia.

That was kinda near the top of the slippery slope that we're accelerating down.

I’m still angry about Libya.

What a mistake.

And we are still paying for that stupid war.

To be clear, my reason for believing that Russia wouldn't invade was that I believed sanity would lead the West to reconsider pushing Russia into a war. I was wrong. I underestimated the deep seated insanity of the Neocon FP establishment. That's the application to the current situation. Sanity dictates avoiding war, but ...

How did you come to that conclusion? Are you relying on U.S./European propaganda for your assessment?

I don’t think there has ever been this huge of a gap between rhetoric and the actual state of Western Military Readiness.

It’s very surreal.
