The FBI raid on Scott Ritter’s house under the pretext of Ritter being a “foreign agent” raised a chorus of voices in response, basically all asking: What about Hunter?
They forced Zhou out with their "easy way or the hard way" only he F_ed them by saddling them with Kama Sutra as a big old middle finger on the way out......He gave them a candidate worse than him! Take that M_fers!!!
So the Deep State and the Demo-rats are going "the hard way" AFTER" he did what they forced him to do anyway.
He's known for decades that people had the goods on him. It was bizarre that he ever tried to play hardball. Dude, the whole world could take you down in 5 minutes.
The Dem donors flipped on him, as well as on Obama and Clinton to squeeze them, and thought he could not beat Trump. So they offered him $ and then threatened him. I suspect that they might have tried put something in place to strike a deal with Trump to not go after the any of them if he wins. He said yesterday that he was given the goods in the Clintons and did not pursue it.
Interesting that the possible FARA violation is connected to Romania & not Ukraine. I remembered that Cofer Black, the ex-CIA guy on the Burisma board with Hunter was also reportedly involved in some banking shenanigans in eastern Europe and want to say that it was in Romania (but could have been one of the Baltic postage stamps). It starting to seem as if the machine is not going to let JB just go into the sunset; they'll make sure he tells no tales, nor does any member of his family. I've always wondered if that was the real reason Black was on that Burisma board with Hunter...insurance policy.
The MSM isn't throwing poo at the Bidens because they've suddenly found a tenderness for even-handed justice. This is indeed all about reading the Riot Act to Joe and particularly Jill. As for KH's briefing on Iran, I'm expecting some wonderful strategic analysis of the current situation: "Iran is a country. It's one of many countries on this planet. It has some nasty people. Not all Iranians are nasty but many are. Nasty people in Iran need to be unburdened of their heads by our friends in Israel to remind them of what could have been but now isn't."
As I said in another comment section, I'm in the bizarre position of hoping that despicable Valerie Jarrett and loathsome Obama really are running things behind the scenes because they both show affection for Iran and distaste for Israel. What better way to put a shiv to Netanyahu than to let him go out there thinking we'll have his back then give him the Bay of Pigs "Promised air cover? What promised air cover?" treatment?
I think KH is going to think of Iran as a metaphor from her youth as she recalls "I ran" away from my father time and time again. Either that or her impression is it's a country full of former cross-country runners.
I am guessing you can’t pardon someone for a crime that they have not been charged with? If so then a FARA charge now would allow a pardon so the potential for a Trump administration prosecution of Hunter would be reduced. Remember a FARA charge would extend the statute of limitations on the IRS violations from 2014
I don't know about that. Ford pardoned Nixon for anything having to do with Watergate, even though Nixon hadn't been charged with or convicted of anything in that regard. If I remember right, Carter pardoned all of the "draft dodgers" who went to Canada to escape getting sent to Vietnam, though they had not been charged.
The problem for Zhou regarding a pre-emptive pardon for Hunter would be 1) The politics of it and 2) "How can the scope of the pardon be defined?" Would it be for all charges that might ever be brought for Hunter's past activity? All tax charges, all gun charges, all drug charges? All FARA violations? All criminal charges?
Any pardon(s) certainly would not go over well politically but maybe Zhou would not care at this point. Or maybe the threat of Impeachment (and/or criminal prosecution) hanging over his head is preventing him from doing this.
"However, the presidential pardon may be used if the acts have taken place, even if the courts have not yet taken action, the Supreme Court ruled in 1866.
The president's pardon power 'extends to every offence known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment,' the high court ruled."
It's revenge.

REVENGE, clear as day.
In addition to yours, Turley did a post about this yesterday I found interesting and a different angle... https://jonathanturley.org/2024/08/08/the-justice-department-makes-the-case-against-hunter-biden-and-itself-in-california/
To his credit, Turley has been all over this for a long time.
Zhou was told by his side that they had the goods on Hunter and himself…that’s why the sudden turn around and his silence…easy way.

VJ should have an electronic ankle bracelet so we can track her movements at all times. Oh, and it would be interesting to see her phone records too.

Don't forget I-Raq: I racked up quite a few close encounters with Willie Brown on my way to the top.

Mark - It’s a sad day for our justice system you are probably correct.
I guess you can say in politics.
"he who lives by the bribe, shall die by the bribe".
Does this mean he's going to die by child molestation?
