Like most Americans I guess I’ve more or less assumed that South Korea is a pretty stable political entity—despite the presence of another Korea to its immediate north.
OMG........this is disturbing in so many ways. It's the tell tale signs the elites are trying to hide their criminality, duh! With talk about Biden being pressured to release all the money for the climate change agenda among others the money flows to those who have been scamming the country for years worthless NGO's and useless and fraudulent non-profits which has always been a misnomer. They profit plenty.....for themselves. After thousands of years nothing about political corruption has changed except the ease with which it is accomplished through technology.
You're gobsmacked?! You know way more about this stuff than I do. How do you think I feel? When I contemplate the smorgasbord of Ukraine, Syria, Russia, China, the Deep State, COVID, etc......
I don't know why, when I read this entry, the spoken ending of Nights in White Satin came to mind.
“The Secret Service was under the Treasury Department until 2003, when it was moved to the newly formed DHS, but the task force advocated for it to be its own structure entirely.”
Oh sure, so it can morph itself into a true Pretorian Guard.
South Korea is a culture rapidly approaching the event horizon of annihilation and it doesn't even take a war to bring this about- just a continuation of a birth rate of under 1 child/couple for another generation or two. I think such a society is likely to see increasingly insane actions as it dies.
That the U.S. defense contractors via neocon Biden Admin. agency personnel gave the South Korean Minister some suggestions for how to make the plan work!
Well, together with the timeline you covered in your article, it seems to correlate roughly with when I first remember hearing that Korea was going to send weapons to Ukraine. No wonder that story never really gained any traction; they needed to deep six it while working on destroying another democracy to save democracy.
It clearly suggests either vassal status of Korea (shocker that) or very tight deep state connections.
Oh yes, and just a few days ago we learned that the U.S. military in South Korea has contractual control over every aspect of South Korea's military bases, which maybe extends to military planning operations?
Things will never be the same again in the Western sphere of influence. Politics can't fix it.
Whatever system emerges will not be like the one we thought we had. Too much corruption at all levels of society from the top down. United Healthcare CEO was the canary in the coal mine.
Are we moving to the post Republic days of Rome? Civil wars, murder and mayhem. The United Health care murder is not surprising. Have no illusions this guy was a criminal in the mold of Pelosi. Insider trading, delay, deny, defend for the money grab from short term quarterly goals and screw the customer.
Well said, Paul. We have lot's of industry left, but it constrained by the Business of financialization and, as you pointed out, destroys as they search for centers of low cost production outside USA. The money flows into the pockets of the elites rather than into industry and we just get more rentier class looking for the next quick buck..

"... it'd be quite hard to believe the US didn't know about this..." (A. Bertrand)
Wanna bet that the Chinese also didn't know about this?
You are offering a sure bet, Joanne!
Cosmo, it's terrible yet I'm laughing at your reply---because, naturally, the CCP has hacked the Inter-agency deep state's back door on the phones
The "terrible" reality is the clown show we have to suffer through.
Is the South Korean incident described as a fralse frag? I know I’m probably in trouble here.
This stuff is so wide spread and understood I think the term false flag has lost it's meaning since we can so easily recognize it.

"Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love and has none
New mother picks up and suckles her son
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is grey and yellow, white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion"
Beautiful but terrible. Greg Lake's lyrics of the song by Emerson Lake and Palmer? I love their early compositions. Great musicians.
ELP reminds me of their song, Lucky Man.
Hunter Biden, ooh what a lucky man he was (because of his pardon).
I was wrong and you are right---Greg Lake wrote Lucky Man. Justin Hayward of Moody Blues wrote Nights. Thank you so much.

Anything except principal protection needs to be split off.
Not at all surprised, given the relationship between ROK & The Empire of Chaos, Death, Destruction & $$$.
Mind boggling.
There's been so much boggling lately that my mind is screaming for relief!

I wonder if Korea begins it's movement toward China for safety from the West.
That coup plan sounds like a B grade Hollywood shooter movie.
A comedy movie
The Duran speculate that the martial law gambit was needed to get around laws against supplying arms to Ukraine. From about the 14:20 mark.

And what does that suggest to you?
That the U.S. defense contractors via neocon Biden Admin. agency personnel gave the South Korean Minister some suggestions for how to make the plan work!
Of course there is money to be made from the chaos.

Industry creates value, Business destroys it. How much Industry does USA have left?

Yes. I have been saying this for years. But I am not remotely the only one.
true dat, Cass!
