Will Biden pardon the whole Democrat Party and all of its operatives too? Merrick Garland, traitor Blinken, Mayorkas, the Clintons, Schumer, the list is too long to name them all. Wray, Strok, Comey....?

Pete Hegseth is unique in that he's been denounced as an abuser of women by members of the Republican Women Federation and... his own mother. Much different than the cultural milieus where the traditional "MeToo"-style allegations have tended to originate

***Kash Patel's best proposals include requiring the FISA Court to transcribe all court proceedings, and mandating a "public defender" of sorts to represent the interests of the parties against whom surveillance warrants are being sought.*** We'll see if he sticks to these proposals

It's also not clear how/whether/on what timeline the Senate will act on this nomination. ***Chris Wray is statutorily entitled to remain until 2027, unless Trump fires him.*** But otherwise, if the Senate takes no action, the FBI Directorship will not be vacant, unlike other positions

The following phrase: Chris Wray, YOU'RE FIRED should be part of Trumps inaugural address, then he must sign the necessary document, effective in a half hour.

Mark I trust your instincts on this based on your experience and inside baseball on the subject.

Perhaps an FBI version of Marshall WWII “Plucking Board”. Retired SACs or others pre 2001, evaluate the potential for promotion to fill the vacancies, Mark, how much free time do you have?

Large budgets are also the cause of many problems. After 9/11, so much money was thrown at NGA (at the time named NIMA) and the Intelligence Community. It causes duplication of effort, and stovepipes, where elements within an agency aren't communicating with each other.

NGA manages foreign mapping The United States Geological Service manages domestic mapping on a far lower budget. Their program is more effective than NGA, because they have to stretch their dollars.

"The main qualification was a willingness to relocate regularly, at every career step up the ladder—or every squiggle up the greasy pole. They were looking for climbers, careerists, not subject area experts with experience and minds informed by experience. As the years went by, the revolving door of career moves whirled faster and faster. Younger and younger. Less and less experienced in their subject areas or in evaluating human nature. More and more informed by the dominant culture."

This is also true at NGA.

In the federal employment world, the self-aggrandizing notion that a manager is a manager and can therefore manage any organization has been in full swing since at least the early 90’s. I was inducted into this strategy then. I possessed a good level of subject-matter expertise and initially prospered by it, but was later forced out because of it. Subject matter expertise, even when weighed in truth, must absolutely yield to higher level ideology, regardless of the degree of counter productive outcomes. Running against the party line brands you as “not a team player”, which becomes an albatross around your neck for the duration. This management style can only result a continually diminishing return and this is what we’re seeing play out in spades. Inbreeding gone wild.

Patel could decentralize the fbi going back to the pre- Mueller organization where there was a local path of advancement, instead of requiring relocation to dc for advancement. This may cause a lot of people to quit.

Actually local paths for advancement would have the opposite effect. It would significantly broaden the field of candidates.

Yes - a requirement long term to change the culture.

Short term expected outcome is attrition of dc based management their position is relocated outside dc.

Why doesn't Murkowski just leave the Republican party? She is an embarrassment.

Murkowski and Collins are liberals. Collins has an excuse as she is from Maine. Alaska has the stupid ranked choice voting, which almost was eliminated in this last election, but sadly survived. Murkowski is elected because of the ranked choice voting.
