The White House is occupied by an individual who is, arguably, the most corrupt to emerge from the US Senate in living memory. Now an FBI whistleblower is alleging that the FBI collected detailed information that Zhou, while Veep, engaged in a scheme to take money in exchange for policy decisions that would benefit a foreign national. There are various accounts out there, but this from Zerohedge provides the essentials from the Senate letter that is demanding that the FBI provide the relevant documents:

"We have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures, " reads a Wednesday letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray. "It has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions. It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose."

"We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States," said Grassley in a joint statement.

"The information provided by a whistleblower raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national. The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself," said Comer.

A few comments. The document is said to be unclassified. That will make it difficult for the FBI to redact or withhold it. It is also said to be “detailed” and “precise” and to concern money to influence policy decisions. That’s a felony and, in the circumstances—a VP on the take from foreign nationals—a very serious one.

My guess is that the whistleblower has provided the Senators with a precise description of the document in question. They know exactly how to identify the document they want. Chris Wray, the waste of space who runs the FBI, is not left with a lot of wiggle room here. Further, the Senate is demanding all similar documents—identified by the form number—that contain the single word “Biden”. That’s right. No first name specified, since we now that the Crime Family that goes under that name has multiple members. This puts some pressure on Merrick Garland, too, if he’s been thinking of arranging some sort of “capstone plea” to try to make all the Biden scandals end.

Jonathan Turley comments on all this, and throws a bit of cold water on my hopeful speculation. He strongly suspects that the Zhou regime will attempt some legal hanky panky:

Sen. Grassley just confirmed that a subpoena has been issued that alleges a criminal scheme involving then Vice President Joe Biden based on "very credible" information from a whistleblower. They are seeking a specific document detailing the alleged scheme.

Chairman Comer has confirmed that the whistleblower is alleging a specific "bribery scheme with a foreign national." The document appears to lay out the alleged allegations and Grassley confirmed that he has not seen the document.

Grassley just told Fox that he is concerned that this unclassified document could be "suddenly classified." The Congress is also likely to face claims of privilege over ongoing investigations.

Now the Washington Post is … reporting that Weiss is close to a "charging decision" on Hunter Biden. The Justice Department is likely to use that ongoing investigation as a basis to withhold this document and other information.

The thing about the way we live now is this. While it’s apparent that there are highly placed people who want Zhou gone yesterday, no scandal seems to be able to gain the degree of traction necessary to bring about that result. The American people no longer seem to care about corruption in high places, and the MSM certainly doesn’t evince any concern about corruption—no matter how grotesque—when its “their guys”. The “What if Trump” standard just doesn’t apply.

Teachers sound alarm on growing problems in schools, say colleagues are 'leaving in droves'

Excerpts from the depressing but totally unsurprising story:

On Teacher Appreciation Day, three teachers told "Fox & Friends" that the nation's schools are facing growing problems with staff shortages, behavioral issues by students and moral dilemmas about politics in the classroom.

"Three-quarters of U.S. states now report that they are short on teachers. We have teachers leaving the profession in droves …

The issue of education has become a top concern among voters as Republican candidates are leaning heavily into education as a key issue in the 2024 elections. Polls reveal parental rights, transgender policies and politicized school curriculums as key issues.

"The number one reason that a lot of teachers are giving for it is the behavior in the classroom," …

The reality is that while polls reveal that parents are concerned about all these issues, only a tiny number of them even turn out to vote for school board positions and the radicals are the ones who overwhelmingly get reelected.

Here in Illinois, the government teachers unions that run the state are leaving nothing to chance—they have a plan to keep the most poorly served students trapped in the ideological boot camps that pass for education, especially in Chicago:

Once again, here’s the thing. Poll after poll documents that school choice is popular among Chicago residents, and especially among minorities. The problem? You get what you vote for:

Sources have informed Wirepoints that the school scholarship program for Illinois students is dead. Gov. J.B. Pritzker, Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson and others in the state legislature are going to kill the program for low-income, working-class families when it comes up for renewal this legislative session.

Nothing could be less surprising—Pritzker and Johnson’s views and records make this a no-brainer. Yet the voters who say they’re concerned about education and want a choice are the ones who put these malicious radicals in office. And reelect them in spite of their record. I guess that fits the definition of insanity.

And of course it’s not just the inner city voters. Businesses and upper middle class people are leaving Chicago and Illinois in droves. I’m going to bet that a fair number of these people voted Dem for years. What did they think would happen? And now they’re bailing out. Crazy.

Gotta luv that euphemism: “dynamics”. And again. What were SF voters thinking over all these years that their city slid downhill? The correlation between high crime and Dem government is pretty powerful. Did they really think that ‘this time will be different’?

It’s like the US military, facing an historic recruiting crisis. Why would they think their experience would be any different than that of Budweiser? And yet:

Obviously, potential recruits are opting out, which means they’re normal. Just like normal teachers are bailing on that profession. And normal beer drinkers are bailing on Budweiser. And yet, who’s getting elected? If there were a groundswell of normals going to the polls, I have to bet that would override fraud. What’s going on?
