This will be another busy morning for me, but I wanted to get some stuff out early. We’ll begin with two Tom Luongo tweets that play into US politics—which, of course, the rest of the world follows closely. The first relates to Jay Powell’s Fed and interest rates. It appears the markets are now, finally, reconciled to Powell’s determination to follow through on his program. Luongo takes a victory lap—not for the first time:
600 words of econometric bullshit and cope to explain why Powell has no real incentive to cut rates. Bloomberg is finally telling the truth by using acceptable guildspeak.
Why The Fed May Need To Go To 6%
Interest-rate traders reckon that the Federal Reserve won’t have to raise rates again in this cycle. They may be wrong...
Follow the link if you want to puzzle over what the “neutral rate” may or may not mean. The bottom line is, “higher for longer may indeed turn out to be the Fed’s mantra.” But this will also have a huge impact globally—and nowhere more than in Europe, which is already staggering.
You'‘ll recall that we referred to Jonathan Turley’s recent article about the 14th Amendment scheme to keep Trump from regaining the White House. Turley likened what he currently sees going on through lawfare to a system where the Ruling Class presents its subjects with the choices for whom they are allowed to vote. He doesn’t quite put it like that, but he means that. He means that the lawfare is so transparently bogus that the real intent is now apparent to all. Luongo takes note of developments that commenters have been talking about here lately:
Either the real voter rolls in California are far worse for the DNC than they want to admit or they know they can't stop Trump from becoming president and are using this to secede when he does.

BREAKING NEWS: FOX News reports Ca. Gov. Gavin Newsom is the first Governor to say Donald Trump is not eligible for future presidential elections & has asked the California's State Assembly to pass a bill that will remove Trumps name on any future ballots.
What we’re seeing here is prep for another coup under the lightest patina of legality—actually, more like a fictional form of legality. California is out ahead on this attempt because it’s very big, very populous, and tightly controlled by the Blue Mafia. Expect other states to get on board—then take a look at virtually any recent Red/Blue by county or precinct map of US election results. Blue metro areas are not a viable country. IMO. My guess is that the SCOTUS should say that states don’t get to decide who can run for president. It will be more complicated than that, but to allow that would be the end of the US as we thought we knew it. Certainly as the Founding Fathers thought they designed it.
It’s big. And beyond the voter rolls issue—which is by no means the whole election fraud story—this ploy certainly is a tell concerning just how panicked the Ruling Class and the Deep State are feeling right now. They clearly see Trump as a for real threat—an existential one.
Moving to geopolitics, Tucker’s interview with Doug Macgregor—Ep. 18 Into the abyss—had some interesting moments. The overall message that Macgregor was trying to get across was straightforward and disturbing. It is one that high level Russian officials have been repeating. Russia is fully aware that their true enemy is not Ukraine and it’s not even Europe—it’s America. Without American Neocons pushing the war on Russia there simply wouldn’t be a war on Russia. That means that, while Russia may prefer for the time being to continue their very deliberate Special Military Operation, Russia is also hyper alert to any possibility of an incoming threat from the United States. Ordinary Americans are, for the most part, blissfully unaware of these disturbing realities, largely regarding the conflict in Ukraine and the South China Sea provocations as no more relevant to their daily lives than most of the other hot spots in the Neocon Forever War. Nothing, of course, could be further from the truth. Macgregor’s other main point was that the US military is nowhere near prepared for a face to face conflict with Russia.
With that prelude, here’s a longish tweet that starts with Tucker’s interview with the Serbian president and moves seamlessly to the main geopolitical topic. This war is all about economics, which ultimately means Energy:
Megatron
@Megatron_ron
Tucker Carlson after the interview with the Serbian President Vucic:
NATO and the USA are destroying the German economy.
Tucker said this after the meeting and interview with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, that what he claimed was confirmed by Vucic.
"The primordial interest of the United States, over which for centuries we have fought wars – the First, the Second and Cold Wars – has been the relationship between Germany and Russia, because united there, they're the only force that could threaten us . And to make sure that that doesn't happen." George Friedman, STRATFOR CEO at The Chicago Council on Foreign Affairs
More and more reputable journalists and world politicians are confirming what is already clear to everyone.
One of the main goals of the war in Ukraine is to prevent German-Russian business cooperation, which is a huge threat to the economic power of the United States.
This is something I've written about several times. With the huge growth of China and the current rapid growth of the economies of India, Indonesia, etc., the world is becoming too small for 3 or more economic empires and one of those that are in decline (USA and Europe) must go to the list of third world countries. The US is using its military power in the world to ensure that Europe will be the one to fail.
Those who follow Tom Luongo should be very familiar with these concepts. Megatron talks about US military power being used to ensure that Europe will fail. I would frame that more in terms of ensuring that Europe remains in permanent vassalage to the US. Luongo also stresses that the EU—or “Davos”—is very far from being an innocent in this conflict. Jay Powell is using what powers he has at the Fed to break the financial hold that the Old Europe has retained over the US economy and financial structure. It’s a game for all the marbles and that means a crash for Europe unless American Globalists betray the US into the hands of Davos.
That’s part of what makes the Left’s jihad against Trump so absorbing. Legally it’s all BS—it’s real meaning is found in the realm of power politics and geopolitics and the goal of a Eugenicist Woke Global takeover. The question then becomes, whose side will Big Money ultimately come down on? Powell—contrary to Megatron—has openly stated that he sees room for more than one reserve currency. That translates into acceptance of the concept of a multi-polar world. The US losing in the current war does not mean the US reverting to “third world” status. Not at all.
Onward!
Germany, which has the largest economy in Europe, before the war in Ukraine began to develop huge business ties and deals with Russia. Russia supplied German industry with cheap energy and provided cheap gas for households in Germany.
Germany and Russia began to create enormous progress and economic prosperity for their citizens and the citizens of all of Europe, while the United States looked out the window.
This also represented a great threat to NATO, which organization exists only thanks to media propaganda due to some kind of threat from Russia, which at that time was in great cooperation with Europe. Because of that, there was no longer a need for US military bases in Europe, missiles, weapons and all their chaos that they spread around the world.
The project that was supposed to fully connect, deepen and seal this relationship between Germany and Russia was the Nord Stream gas pipeline that spilled the beans to the United States.
Joe Biden openly stated "We will bring an end to it." He openly stated that he would stop the pipeline in any way possible.
So the USA got to work, with its propaganda media machinery including the newspaper Bild in Germany, managed to remove Merkel from power and install its current poodle, Olaf Scholz.
They provoked Russia into a war in Ukraine, blew up the Nord Stream gas pipeline, without shame or care, Scholz imposed sanctions against Russia, cut off all business cooperation, plunged the German economy into recession and began the painful de-industrialization of Germany.

One big geopolitical event/issue that Megatron leaves out, understandably, is Niger. This war is about economics, which is about energy. Niger supplies France with most of the uranium that fuels the 70% of French energy needs, in the form of electricity. France also sells some of that electricity to other EU countries. France has been getting that uranium at rip-off prices. That source of cheapish energy is now threatened by African countries demanding a fair price.
But that’s not all that is threatened by the Niger coup—not by a long shot. With the US terror attack on and destruction of the Nordstream gas pipeline, EU hopes for a Russia-independent alternative source of cheap gas rested in Africa. To refresh recollections, here is planned trans Africa pipeline. It runs right across Niger (pipeline in green):
Whether or not Russia was involved in the Niger coup is unclear. Wagner’s Prigozhin happens to be present in Niger’s neighbor to the west—Mali. Mali supports Niger’s coup government and has forced UN “peacekeepers” to leave. The pipeline project is in serious jeopardy, and with it EU economic health. The US and France have been pressuring the ECOWAS countries (led by Nigeria and Ghana) to invade Niger, but the publics in those countries are strongly opposed to that plan. Now we learn that Algeria—to the north of Niger—has refused French requests to overfly Algeria to launch airstrikes in support of a rumored ECOWAS invasion of Niger.
Just a reminder. Much of this mess in Africa’s Sahel region can be laid at the door of the misbegotten Globalist/Neocon “Arab Spring” series of wars. Specifically, the West’s overthrow of Ghadaffi in Libya opened the floodgates to war across the Sahel. France and the US have been largely unable to suppress those wars and keep the local governments in line. Those governments are now turning to Russia and China. All this should tell you why Nuland dropped everything to fly to Niger to talk to the doorman at the Niger government building—she was refused access to the coup leader. Nobody’s talking about it, but this is another major geopolitical crisis for the Globalist/Neocon world order that is fragmenting.
I don't really buy Tom's long and convoluted theories, much as I greatly admire his general stance on things. As for Germany being destroyed, it mentions this briefly above but it needs to be emphasised: the main player who destroyed Germany is Germany. Merkel was no great barrier to the neocons. It was she after all who let in 1.5 million "refugees" without consulting German people. It was also she who instigated the disastrous "Energiewende" green policies which have done as much to destroy German industry and economy as the sanctions. And finally, a leader who cared about his country and its people would have told the neocons to shove their sanctions, as well as named and shamed them for destroying the Nordstream pipeline. Germany wasn't murdered; it committed suicide. The only thing that will save them now is the same thing that will save every other European nation: a complete change in leadership and an extensive and heartfelt bout of grovelling to Russia.
Also left out of the Niger story is France's stranglehold by requiring the use of CFA as Niger's currency, which totally sucks any reserves back to Paris. Really the last vestige of their colonial rule, and arguably the financial lifeblood of Paris, since all they truly export are rulez.
