A correction: You speak in this blog of the Anglo-American Empire. I would like to suggest that it's actually the Anglo-American-Zionist Empire.

Thank you.

Given Pappe's essay (which is IMO eminently reasonable) I'm not surprised the Mossad (I mean FBI) retained him.

China is too important to sanction without causing a massive spike in inflation. The attempt to offshore production to ASEAN nations hasn’t been successful and Burma’s color revolution has failed.

I doubt either that Xi enjoyed being lectured to and patronized by Von Der Leyen and Macron during his recent visits. This kind of emotional and immature behaviour by Western leaders only serves to deepen China and Russia's resolve.

Xi knows to expect this behavior and understands it will only get more intense. He'll sleep okay I'm sure. Me on the other hand....

I’m also listening to this morning’s Duran. The guest is very to the left and ignores the positives capitalism has created, Alex Krainer, but has some good points.

I don’t see a military confrontation happening, Ukraine and Yemen have shown the that would be folly. And nobody wants to be the next Ukraine.

Diplomatic - so what.

Economic, sanctions, and the U.S. dollar reserve currency I see as the huge issues and opportunities for China, Russia, and Iran.

With the failure of the current Russian sanctions finally becoming apparent to the West, along with de-dollarization, I’m sure the West is doubling down. So more sanctions and targeting trading partners of Russia.

Agreed; what will be interesting is how the rest of the global countries react and their allegiance as I see this as a broadening of the ever increasing divide.

Looks like the Euroweenies and US are going to slap enormous tariffs on Chinese EVs. Trade war here we come. And as with a military war, it's one we will lose. This is all so stupid and avoidable.

The ev tariff is a joke.

China is building factories in Mexico, which would be exempt.

Probably targeting union votes, thinking they won't figure that out.

Weird. Tariffs on products that aren't imported to the US. Meanwhile, with no competition from abroad, EVs are in huge trouble already. Looks like a window dressing type of tariff.

Pritzker doubles down with $827 million of taxpayer money for expansion by troubled electric vehicle maker, Rivian

Rivian is not alone. As a CNBC headline recently declared, “EV euphoria is dead. Automakers are scaling back or delaying their electric vehicle plans.” Since then, the news is no better. Ford announced last week that it is losing a stunning $132,000 per vehicle. Hertz announced last week a second round of sales of its EV fleet due to heavy maintenance and depreciation costs. For the first quarter of this year, EV sales continued to slow and the share of EV sales for all autos actually decreased. While total EV sales are still up a bit from last year, the growth rate is not nearly enough to put EV makers on a path to profitability.

The Duran boys discussed this yesterday. It doesn't make any sense - but hey, this is the globalists. If I recall correctly, their view was it was just the US and EU using it as an excuse to boss the Chinese around like it's 1991.

And that is just a drop in the bucket of the taxpayer subsidies for EVs:

That's gonna hurt when he announces his 2028 Presidential bid. Does this mean the taxpayers are off the hook for a new downtown Soldier field?

I don't doubt he has presidential ambitions, but IL is an albatross. The state could be in bankruptcy by 2028.
