First the important news. Today the doctor cleared my wife to drive. She’ll get a few more PT sessions for strengthening, but the medical aspects are basically over.
Now, today brought more revelations about Zhou and the Garage Gate classified docs. First, it turns out that the, while the garage may have been “locked”, Zhou wasn’t the only one with access. Hunter, while resident at the Delaware house, also had access to the garage. There are pictures of Hunter—accompanied by … females—driving the now famous Corvette that was parked next to the docs. Which suggests he had access to the documents, as well, if he wanted such access. And that raises the question whether his Chinese intel clients also had access, one way or another, to those docs. Yes, it’s known that Hunter was consorting with Chinese intel personnel at the same time he was residing at the Delaware house.
And it gets worse. As I suggested the other day, while the Secret Service may not keep “visitor logs” for the Delaware house where Zhou spends so much time—not in the formal sense—they do, it develops, keep records of persons who “come into contact” with locations the Secret Service protects. That would include the Delaware house. So, “visitor logs” by another name. The “worse” part is that, apparently having reconsidered its original stonewall, the Secret Service is now disposed to be cooperative:
The Secret Service is reportedly willing to reverse course and disclose visitor records from President Joe Biden’s Wilmington residence, where classified documents were unearthed by the president’s personal attorneys.
While the Secret Service claims not to keep visitor logs of everyone who entered Biden’s home, the Secret Service does keep records of those who “come into contact” with the locations the agency protects. It’s those logs the Secret Service is willing to turn over to Congress, according to Fox News.
It would certainly clarify matters for us if we knew exactly who got the SS to engage in their initial stonewall, and exactly who persuaded them to “reverse course.” If those logs show that official business was being conducted, as they will, things will heat up further. One way or another, the dump-Zhou camp seems to have more clout than those attempting to arrange the wagons in circular fashion. That’s remarkable, given that DoJ seems to have been trying to keep this quiet. I mean, DoJ does have some clout in these matters. The anti-Zhou forces must be very well connected, especially since we remain pretty much in the dark as to who they actually are.
I can certainly understand that Dems would want Zhou gone for 2024. What remains quite remarkable, in my view, is the almost palpable sense of desperation to get him gone now. That these people are willing to risk two years of a first class goof—being kind—like Kama Sutra at this critical economic-political-military juncture speaks volumes. Changing horses in midstream is a risky undertaking, and the same applies to changing horses’ asses. Better the devil you know, is another way of putting that. These people may think they can handle Kama Sutra, but …
Next up, I really want to recommend this half hour video interview with Jeffrey Sachs. There’s no beating around the bush, and this guy is a for real insider. He knows what he’s talking about. It gets really lively at the 6:15 mark:
I’m guessing Sachs didn’t get an invitation to Davos this year, although I’d be surprised if he hasn’t been a regular attendee in the past. No matter, the US was well represented (h/t Nick Arama):
And it turns out that Chris Wray, FBI Director—who is in attendance at Davos—has quite a standup routine. He’s so good, in fact, that he can deliver the laugh lines even while sitting:
And here’s a real thigh slapper:
Thank God for the rule of law—magine what an unrestrained FBI would be like!
Elon Musk gets the last word on Wray:
But does it?
Well, so lets turn to some REALLY odd things:
Trump Dismisses COVID Vaccine Safety Concerns, Says They Saved Millions of Lives
Hmmm. That’s concerning. Very concerning.
Then there’s this:
Supreme Court investigation fails to identify leaker of Dobbs draft decision
Chief Justice John Roberts called upon the Marshal of the Court to investigate the leak
Look, this is what happens when you turn a sensitive investigation over to bunch of amateurs. Roberts could have had his pick of real pros. Take Bull Durham, for example. Please. Here’s what Fox is saying:
Per the Marshal’s report, the investigation team has been "unable to identify a person responsible by a preponderance of the evidence."
“Preponderance of the evidence” usually means at least 51% by weight. Or, to be really technical, “More likely than not.”
Great news about your wife, Mark! I hope the driving goes well. P.s, I hear there's a second-hand Corvette on the market if she's interested. The car's in great shape, but there are a few problems with the documentation, apparently.
"First the important news" - Todah la-E'l! Thanks, God!
