The President is in fact "missing". Who is in charge? Has power been transferred officially and to who.

When a President goes to the hospital for a procedure this is done. Now we can't even find the guy and we do not know who is replacing him temporarily or permanently???? WTH?

Simplicius commented per cell phone records the assassin had an fbi visit prior to the assassination attempt.

You can't be too careful with goofballs like that. Can't leave anything to chance. No screwups.

After a very limited time reviewing relevant information from today, I can confidently state "I know nothing." What is real and what isn't? Are we experiencing the apogee of the longstanding question of "malevolence vs. incompetence"? Or is it as simple as keeping all of us as motive guessing manipulated political party biased subordinated mushrooms? Maybe it just pre-planned chaos (Cloward-Piven) all around?

It sure seems like a lot of our elites are falling on their faces. What does the average American consumer of the MSM think now? I have no idea. What does it mean that if Zhou was lucid it would be a relief to me to see the following (NSFW)?:

Who is actually acting as the President right now? Who has control of the ICBMs and the B-52s?

Thanks very much, Mark, for all that you do and how it keeps some of us latched on to sanity.

My prediction is that the public never sees Joe Biden alive again.

Very persuasive analysis by LJ. Thanks, Mark, for linking to that. LJ was shooting at 70 yards, half the distance that Crooks did, and LJ had to make adjustments to his sites "on the spot". By doubling the distance, the ballistic "cone" would be 4 times greater for Crooks. An easy shot? NO! Only with substantial training on a well-sited rifle. Appears to have been significant recon as well. It is now 9 days and the questions continue to increase. Good answers from the SS or FBI, not so much.

My experience with red dots is limited. The assassin was shooting well past 100 yds, and that's not what red dots are really intended for. It's why I initially assumed some type of scope. If he had the right type of setup it would be OK. But it still suggests that he had trained quite a bit.

Great comment Mark. I have no experience with red dot sights. Even if the shooter was, there are other factors that come into play. One other factor is that Crooks was supposedly using a low-end AR15. Was it modified? For example, a match-grade barrel and trigger assembly? Was he using match-grade ammo? He HAD to have a lot of training! Snipers have to learn how to control their physiology: heart rate, vision, hearing, mental focus, etc. This really does seem to be getting into LHO territory.

I'm no expert but a shot at 140 yards doesn't have to fall into true sniper territory. A person who is reasonably skilled at rifle shooting will easily make that shot. That is also why it is so absurd to think that the Secret Service didn't protect a rooftop 140 yards out. A sniper with a good weapon can take a person out at 1500 yards.

Many thanks K Benn. Good snipers do NOT use off-the-shelf AR15s. To your point, maybe at that distance, we shouldn't be thinking about "sniping". Even so, this is what continues to baffle me: wrong gun for the job (140 yards). So much done well, but so many glaring and troubling issues. I will add more. Crooks has to set up and make that 140-yard shot, when he knows that he will be dead in a few seconds. According to Larry Cunningham and numerous LE snipers, once Crooks became an imminent threat (prone position on a rooftop with a rifle), he should have been killed. Even on a sloped roof!

It doesn't take a person with sniper training to make that shot, nor does it require exotic equipment. However, a decent optic for the distance (nothing exotic) would be better than the red dot. The fact that he made his first shot with, perhaps, sub-optimal equipment does indicate that he was a good shot.

If there was a medical emergency involving a sitting President, why not just announce it? Why go thru a silly PR stunt about resigning from the campaign via X?

Because the traditional funeral for a sitting President will mess up their convention plans?

They are weaving such a huge web of deceit, lies, and smoke and mirrors they are eventually going to mis step.

Also, where is Dr Jill???

There are a couple ways to 'zero' a red dot scope. First, and probably the easiest is to use a bore sighting laser. This can be done without firing a shot and can then be verified by firing the weapon at a target. The second method is how Mr. Johnson describes by firing at a target then correcting for error and firing again. If not using a bench rest when firing the weapon to verify the sight adjustments, both methods can still result in error.

Right. To be clear, I wasn't blanket endorsing everything LJ said, but the idea that the shot wasn't necessarily an easy one for someone using a red dot. My impression, and it's speculation, is that the setup did contain a small amount of error. Not a lot, but possibly enough to have helped save Trump. Other factors also apply. I just thought the first shot looked good, but even with Trump's movement was slightly left of where the probable point of aim (center mass of his head) would have been. But that could also have been a shooter factor.
