The focus on DC is appalling to me. As time moves i see the action at the state level. Change in DC is never, I repeat, never going to happen. Rejuvenation of the republic is only going to come from the states. The races for Governor are more interesting to me. DeSantis has led the way in demonstrating what state-level politicians can do. Passive resistance is the way to go. IF you have oil fields in your state and the Feds try and prevent drillers from drilling, tell em to screw and permit them - maybe that already happens, I'm not sure. They try and creat more "national parks" so they can confiscate more land? Tell em to screw and if they do that in order to prevent access to resources, a state should override them and allow it. I understand I'm just venting here but the focus on DC,DC,DC is maddening. These people are cancerous ego-maniacs laying waste to the culture. Ok now - happy Friday :)

Just a reminder:

Most Republicans are not your friends either.

Does anyone think that things are going to get so messed up that there will be NO election!

I'm sure the Demons are considering how it might be done.

I find myself wondering that if some sort of election-time pandemic scare were again whipped up and an attempt were made to go back to the well of the mail-in ballot and drop boxes, would the tactic so inflame so many people that the turnout against the Establishment would be so fierce as to massively overwhelm any fraud efforts by said Establishment?

Even if the usual suspects in the Republican Party went along with it all, most Republican challengers would still be the beneficiaries of such a thing, and the Republican incumbents aren't losing any seats this year. So I wonder if a "2020 Redux" plan is increasingly off the table?

And yet it's hard to believe the regime will just cross its fingers and hope for the best. I'm just hoping their big bet was purely conventional war against Russia! Russia! Russia! and that when that plan looks like it will fail to deliver the electoral goods, they'll have no good Plan B. Otherwise I really worry about what kind of manufactured mayhem may be coming down the pike -from this side of the pond or across it- between now and November.

I wish the red precincts would hold onto their returns and force the blue precincts to announce theirs first.

A thousand times yes. I've been screaming that into the ether for YEARS.

Bear in mind that it's quite a bit harder to steal representative votes than presidential and Senate.

Completely true. I'm thinking more about the Senate and other statewide stuff like governor, secretary of state, etc.

I have a huge amount of disgust / anger for the establishment GOP that goes along with all the voter fraud.

What can Trump do to marginalize their power in the gop?

Expand full comment

I have no idea what Trump can do, but I think if GOP can get a really large majority in 2022 that this will make voters much more willing in 2024 to primary out more of the double agent Democrats riddled throughout the ole but rarely very grand party. The arguments these sellout incumbents always use in the primaries is that the voters can't take a chance on a new face lest they risk ceding power and control to the Democrats. Hopefully a great big thumpin' majority might be enough to help voters grow a pair and do the right and necessary thing in the 2024 primaries.

Spit balling:

1. Fundraising where establishment / chamber of commerce types are backed. McConnell seems to have a lot of control due to banking campaigns.

2. Starving for funding any gop types that go off the reservation.

3. Changing rules to disqualify any non gop types.

4. Dirty tricks to destroy the wrong type candidates. It seems eGOP are more willing to be ruthless within the gop, than Democrats. The demonization of the tea party by the eGOP was amazing.

5. Very suspicious, but why does it seem every state voter rolls, even red states, have problems.

6. Story in Utah of a Senators son working against voter id with Doris funding was troubling.

7. Democrats voting in open primaries for gop.

8. Running multiple candidates in primaries to dilute the vote to allow the establishment type to win.

9. Expelling anyone from gop organizations that goes outside the reservation, such as acting pointing out the emperor has no clothes.

10. Tendency of a gop candidate to say one thing to get elected, and act differently once elected. McCain’s re-election commercial “build the dang wall” vs his actions still disgusts me.

11. Gop allowing the left to control the language / Overton window.

12. General Unwillingness to use lawfare by the gop.

13. Making it hard to participate in gop activities for the general populace, except around election time. Luncheons / meetings I found in So Ca are just not set up for working class types.

14. Lack of out reach to minority communities. School choice is a huge issue, the gop ignores. The schools radicalization is another. Lots of grass roots anger, but little support from the gop. The Gop is so afraid to fight in the culture wars.

15. Changing rules to support the right candidate.

16. Allowing non gop to set the rules on debates, interviews, etc. such as the Presidential debates so called non boarded moderators such as Chris Wallace, or Romney being knee capped by Crowley, or how Sarah Palin was set up for failure in that cbs interview, the gop needs to train candidates on record every press interaction, and understand they are biased.

17. Making election integrity a huge issue. Paper ballots, voting observers, lawyers everywhere.

PS: One thing's for sure, though: voting machines and drop box video must be backed up and saved post-election. If it's all clean - wonderful. But let's find out. Letting it all just get wiped clean again has to be a non-starter for anyone who wants to have any credibility at all on the existential issue of clean elections.

My family moved down to Mexico about a year ago. On almost every busy street corner there are people asking for money durning the red lights. Every time, I see a few people roll down their window and give them some. I commented to one of our friends that I thought it was crazy how many people gave money since I never really saw it happen much in the US. He explained that they aren't locals in need of help, but people making their way up to the border (We're about a 3 hour drive away). They give them money to try to move them along. Sure enough, when I started paying attention, it seems like the people rotate out every week or so.

The view from the Willamette Valley is different, although I do not have inside information. Just an observation that a huge class of second-generation Latina politicians have found it profitable to ally themselves with turquoise-haired progressives and seek elective office and administrative appointments on the strength of the color of their skin and their family history of illegal yet valiant immigration. Politicians of EVERY color maneuver for advantage; nowadays the constituency of a brown politician will be brown people, out loud and proud.

Democrats are the party of dividing up the spoils; brown people want their fair share and can get their fair share of all the printed money if they play along. Some may hate trans stuff, but all their children will be taught how to be trans in the free public schools... There is no Hispanic cavalry arriving at school board meetings to protest CSE.

So, can I have a round of Land Acknowledgments, please? Nothing white people like more than a good, cleansing, Land Acknowledgment. And a "kick me" sign taped to their back.

Hmm. I think Hispanics may be disgusted with Biden but they'd just want a different Democrat on top. I'd be interested to see how the polling looks in different regions, and whether Biden has coattails.
