Stories a few days old that have kept well. Some of this is pretty obvious—for example, a guy with dementia developing an even more explosive temper than before. But one paragraph did kinda jump out:
Report: Biden Has Meltdown in Private Meeting over General Election Polling
A new report claims that Joe Biden has a breakdown in a private strategy meeting, screaming and cursing at staff who informed him that he is currently losing to former President Donald Trump in general election polling.
According to the Washington Examiner, several anonymous sources close to the Biden campaign gave details about the incident, during which several key statistics were given to the president. Biden, according to the witnesses, was “seething” after being told that his handling of the war in Israel had caused his approval ratings to plummet in key swing states such as Michigan and Georgia, leading to him shouting and swearing at those who were present.
Witnesses also say that, as a result of the consistent polling showing that he will lose many key swing states to President Trump, Biden has been “second-guessing” his entire campaign strategy and messaging with just over 7 months to go before the general election in November.
Biden’s increasingly hostile tone, which some say may be a side effect of his ongoing cognitive decline, was reflected in his most recent State of the Union speech, …
“… his handling of the war in Israel had caused his approval ratings to plummet in key swing states such as … Georgia.” What makes Georgia a swing state for Dems? The Black vote. And according to the report what’s causing his approval ratings to plummet is disapproval of US policy re Israel. That translates into: Black voters are increasingly angry over US policy re Israel. They don’t like the US supporting genocide against Arabs. Have you ever noticed that Arab or Arab sounding names are popular among Blacks? Apparently the Israel Lobby hasn’t paid much attention to that fact, or thought they were so good at gaslighting that they could even get away with genocide. Reports are the Schumer cleared his anti-Netanyahu speech with AIPAC, so the alarm is palpable.
This follows continuing reports that the Dem hold over minority voters is loosening. We covered this last week (Trump Taking Over The GOP?) while discussing an FT article that’s still attracting a lot of attention.
That’s good news for Trump. OTOH, here’s a “report” about Trump that may not seem so positive for Trump voters:
Report: Donald Trump Eyes Three GOP Senators for His National Security Cabinet
How many senators ever make the transition from debating society prima donna to actually successful administrator and policy maker in a key cabinet post? Not many, so expectations should be low a priori. And it gets worse when you read the names of the knuckleheads Trump is claimed to have in mind:
Benjy Sarlin @BenjySarlin
NEW: Trump eyeing Sens. Marco Rubio, Tom Cotton, Bill Hagerty for top natsec positions, @jaysolomon reports
Caveat: This “report”, to me, has the earmarks of a Neocon psycho-op—Neocons trying to plant a seed in Trump’s mind to the effect that appointing Neocon controlled senators to the key positions in his administration (because every presidency ends up being a NatSec presidency) would be a good idea—and the sooner he’s committed the better. Despite what happened the last time Trump tried to appease the Neocons. Despite the unimpressive names beings floated (well, they’d only have to follow Neocon orders, appoint Neocons to key staff positions). The fact that this “report” is being amplified by a Neocon outlet like Red State further solidifies the suspicion. Still, it bears watching in light of Trump’s past record as well as an indicator of the forces arrayed against any change in current US support for global war and genocide.
Naked Capitalism has a heartwarming story about how some people worked hard during the Covid Regime and got ahead against all odds:
Wealth of US Billionaires Hits $5.5 Trillion—Up 88% Since Pandemic Hit
This one really is heart warming:
The state of Texas is withdrawing $8.5 billion in funding from the far-left investment firm BlackRock, which has been leading global efforts to force environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies on other corporations.
As reported by the Daily Caller, the decision was announced on Tuesday by the Texas Permanent School Fund (PSF), which sent a letter declaring that BlackRock would no longer serve as the manager of the Navarro 1 Fund. This move marks the single largest divestment from BlackRock since the backlash first began several years earlier.
“The PSF’s relationship with Blackrock was not in compliance with Texas Government Code Section 809, commonly known as Senate Bill 13, which prohibits state investment in companies like Blackrock that boycott energy companies,” said Aaron Kinsey, chairman of the Texas State Board of Education, in a statement.
"Far-Left investment firm BlackRock..." oh my aching sides. As for the JoeBot, him heap speed freak these days, amplifying his natural aggression but helping him stay awake until the wee hours (14:30 or thereabouts).
Biden melting down doesn’t surprise me in the least, he’s been a thin-skinned, arrogant, intellectual featherweight his entire political career and those kind of people don’t accept criticism of any kind. In any discussion with Crazy Joe, he knows all that can be known and everyone else knows the rest. What an insufferable wretch, but what do I know, 81 million people voted for him. No joke, true story, I’m not kiddin around.
