This morning I quoted Alastair Crooke, who provided context on Russia hatred—context that I have regularly presented to some skepticism from some readers.
Mark, you write, "This morning I quoted Alastair Crooke, who provided context on Russia hatred—context that I have regularly presented to some skepticism from some readers."
Who could possibly be skeptical among your readers? Perhaps Cassander as he attempted to remain optimistic about Trump and his association with Israel and Ukraine and that his inability to achieve peace is likely due to pressures beyond his control. We haven't heard from him in a while, I wonder why? Crooke is right about the historical antagonism of Jews toward Czarist Russia. It's always the pogroms with these people who act the victims as if their actions didn't bring about enmity. It's the question I keep asking, why did they happen? I am sure they are not faultless.
I quibble a bit with Crooke in his description that the Russia that emerged from the post Soviet years is not somewhat Orthodox, they are fully Orthodox. This is a country, following the 1453 fall of Constantinople, assumed the leadership of the Eastern Orthodox Faith and attempted to protect the Eastern Orthodox people and one of the primary reasons for the Crimean War. That England and France joined on the side of the Turks demonstrates the continued enmity of western Christians for Eastern Orthodoxy and hatred of Russia. It's interesting how Jatras frames the Neocons as not anti-communist but rather anti-Russian. Spot on! Communism is the favored totalitarian framework for the Jews and many in the elite and academic circles. Whenever I see Democrats agitating for socialism it's generally begins in the Ivies where the children of privilege spout slogans of oppression and equality. Ha, what bull shite. The academics are simply shoving their ideology down the throats of students looking for a purpose and a cause.
You write, "Yes, he’s talking about the Neocons. The war on Russia, the wars in the Middle East—it’s all connected." It is and the old saying, that "None are so blind than those who refuse to see" is a truism that applies to our current troubles and forever wars. There's a lot of fiction going on in our government and the elite circles. We are distracted by events and circumstances meanwhile Trump is opening the spigots for the final enslavement of the american people and the demise of this so-called reluctant empire.
Engrossing exchange w Jatras! Refreshing and worrying at the same time as he confirms some of our worst fears about Trump: boxed in by a nasty bunch of die-hard and dangerous Neocons and trigger-happy Euros, acting, as he can, on instinct instead of strategy. Like others, he sees the war continuing, as the Euros now become our new proxies, holding their citizens “hostage.” Really depressing!
Back on the domestic fbi front - what a great way to hide evidence from FOIA and more! And that Nellie Ohr lied. Rendered basically invisible by use of the classification “Prohibited Access” in Sentinel.
It's a pretty good article. There are legit reasons to RESTRICT access to sensitive information, but I can't think of any reason--in a representative republic--that a small group of people should be allowed to make selected information invisible to all but a self-designated group. Even invisible to prosecutors. In the Ohr case this was done for clearly political reasons and to prevent prosecution. What I haven't seen yet is an explanation of WHO had the authority to do that. Were such decisions documented, with reasons given, and by whom?
Frightening. A few articles ago, you were saying that revolutions, once begun, are unable to be directed nor controlled; all hell breaks loose. Palantir = IDF explains why Trump bothers working with neocons, which he shouldn't, since that syndicate of political believers destroyed his career plans over the past 10 years. But neocons are only one faction of Deep State Global. The "close friends' network" of Thiel, Sacks, & Musk, along with non-buddy tech titans like Sam Altman, Reid Hoffmann, et al. are competing for their own global hegemony with tech tools of artificial intelligence, 3D printing, plus any and every programable product in the marketplace. The revolution must come, every person recognizing that he/she is a unique human being, and refuse to conform to assigned positions of dehumanization. Palantir's objective is to prevent persons from communicating individual non-consensus thoughts to others, which is the life-draining effect of the social credit system. We're already in the revolution--the Covid scam made it visible.
Sadly, it also explains why Netanyahu and the Israeli State do whatever they want regardless of POTUS upbraiding and withholding of consent to some Israeli plans. Disheartening.
A Little Off Topic and mentioned by Mark in earlier posts as I recall but I was thinking this is pretty big issue possibly worth another mention and I looked it up for more detail
Russia US TREATIES SALT I SALT II START I New START have as a requirement
that each of their Bombers be "observable" via National Technical Means (NTM) satellites, radar, etc and prohibit "deliberate concealment" that interferes with verification
U.S.-Russia nuclear arms treaties (SALT I, SALT II, START I, New START) prohibit Nuclear Bomber concealment to ensure verification of treaty compliance
Under New START, Russia shares data on strategic bomber locations (e.g., at declared bases like Engels) and notifications of movements (e.g., 48-hour notice for certain ICBM/SLBM activities). This data, includes airbase coordinates and bomber counts, which Ukraine could use for targeting.
Operation Spiderweb—the June 1, 2025, Ukrainian drone attack on Russian airbases—was planned and executed by Ukraine’s SBU over 18 months
NATO/U.S. support militarily/monetarily enabled Ukraine to exploit treaty-required exposure
NATO and U.S. military and financial support, enabled Ukraine to target these exposed Russian assets, leveraging treaty-mandated transparency to strike deep into Russian territory. the U.S. likely provided satellite imagery or signals intelligence
---------- This is viewed as a real and distinct nuclear treaty issue - a breach by Trump and Biden administration before him, t--- in the planning for 18 Months.
Russia has to conceal the nuclear bombers and risk accusation of breaking the Russia US TREATIES SALT I SALT II START I New START - in order to protect them from NATO Ukraine US assault
Or leave the nuclear bombers exposed and keep within the treaties and risk US Ukraine NATO assault.
This is a US Breach of the Nuclear Treaties - perhaps not by letter of the law
But a Breach of the Spirit of Nuclear Cooperation by Biden AND Trump administrations
It's a pretty big deal in Russia's eyes, but my opinion also. Trump claiming ignorance simply does not fly.
.
It's another pretty important reason for Russia just to keep taking more land. No faith or credibility in US promises. A.Huge Trump Blunder.
Larry Johnson sonar 21 misses the real meat on the bone
which is the Biden Trump Breach of the Nuclear Treaties
And the importance of the US Trump Biden Breach
However, he does describe the US involvement in that breach
and I agree - the attack was a US Attack - there does not seem to be any doubt about it
Larry: "In my opinion, none of these attacks could have been planned and executed without assistance, if not the direct involvement, of Western intelligence and NATO officers. The drones likely were activated by a remote signal made possible by Western satellites and/or systems like Starlink. Those systems also played a critical role in enabling the drones to navigate to the targeted airfields."
--- I can only add:
Ukraine has no viable system to fly these drones to make this attack in the geographic area it was in as well as with the precision, except for US NATO provided system
Russia knows it this was a US NATO Breach of the spirit of the nuclear treaty
Lindsey Graham permanently "roped in" Trump in 2017 by creating law preventing him ["the president"] from enacting Russia policy without congressional approval. Lindsey introduced S.341 in Feb. 2017, it was approved nearly unanimously by House and Senate in July, Trump signed it in August 2017: "A bill to provide for congressional oversight of actions to waive, suspend, reduce, provide relief from, or otherwise limit the application of sanctions with respect to the Russian Federation, and for other purposes."... https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/341/text?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22russia+sanctions%22%5D%7D&r=3...Per Alastair Crooke, 8/6/2017, "Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev wrote in response:
“The signing of new sanctions against Russia into law by the U.S. president leads to several consequences. First, any hope of improving our relations with the new U.S. administration is over....The Trump administration demonstrated it is utterly powerless, and in the most humiliating manner, transferred executive powers to Congress.…The American establishment completely outplayed Trump.”… https://consortiumnews.com/2017/08/06/playing-politics-with-the-worlds-future/
Listening to that part reminded me of Macgregor's complaint, based on personal experience with Trump, that Trump tends to agree with the last person he speaks with.
Well the MIC had better up their game in weapons design and manufacturing because their reputation just took a giant smack down. Who wants weapons that can't do the job?

"Trump tends to have more like impulses than strategy."
This sums up the man very succinctly.
And also may help explain his apparent randomness at times.
Listening to that part reminded me of Macgregor's complaint, based on personal experience with Trump, that Trump tends to agree with the last person he speaks with.
Macgregor wasn't the first to say that about Trump. Commenter on Simplicius76's site Feral Finster has been saying that for ages.

Fascinating. Mskes top much sense.
