Ron DeSantis keeps looking better and better as time passes, on the other hand Greg Abbott keeps looking worse, Dave Carney's advice appears to be followed almost every time.
Meanwhile, Trump is endorsing idiots, re-hiring idiots, and crowing that Truth Social is #1 in App Store downloads. I'm sure he's a nice man, loyal, and maybe even the most squeaky-clean businessman / politician ever.
Unfortunately, he's just not the right person to lead the America First movement anymore.
The issue is interesting to the extent that colleges have been an extremely useful instrument of indoctrination to the Left, so saving the system is of huge importance to them. I'm still not sure if they are serious about canceling the debt or if they simply want the Republicans to oppose it so they can accuse them of being heartless swine.
similar to the government getting into health care
I went for physical therapy..........they were charging me in increments of approx. $250 for 15 minutes....totaling about $1000 per hour........for doing exercises any 12 yr old knows
so medicaid, mediacare or some form of 0bamacare pays for it via your tax dollars
I went a few times and then refused to be a part of it
Childers' take on this is worth reading. Bankruptcy is the natural recourse, but it's been made inaccessible by the courts. I wouldn't be surprised if Brandon was involved back then. Jut another artificial crisis.
Sounds like the medical degree program needs a rewrite. It’s almost as if it is designed to be a grudge match to the death. A “Survivor” show without the fans. And at the end, win or lose, you still owe the money.
KD also has cogent recommendations for cutting through our health care gordian knot. As with education, it involves goring entrenched interests of the prog admin state.
It seems another benefit might be the decentralization of decisions regarding what medical care is appropriate ... putting power back to individual practitioners and their patients
Right! This can't be a win for the Brandon regime. There are a quite lot of young-ish voters saddled with enormous debts, sure. If he teases this bloc with some simplistic blanket debt forgiveness Jubilee but doesn't come through, that's not a political win. If he does manage to print a bunch more bailout money, well that's just more inflation for everybody. Not much win that way either.
All this needs to be understood in the context of the (inevitable?) currency collapse we're facing. Hyperinflation would dwindle student loans and mortgages to nothing anyway: they can't raise rates on these. Of course, that's assuming wages keep up with inflation, which is not at all guaranteed. We could just have another great depression or something like it.

Thanks. I was wondering where he was getting his advice. Too lazy/busy to check.

Trump went to the land of OZ, oddly enough . . .

My mortgage identifies as a student loan.
You can declare bankruptcy also

Yes. And a reduction in college enrollments will benefit us as follows:
1. More people going into trades and other “real economy” work.
2. Many colleges will go out of business.
3. Fewer people will be indoctrinated by leftist faculty in the remaining colleges.

Move 3 to 1, bold it,

Control. It's not about health.
And when chips were down, Deathcare specialists deliver for Pfizer and death cult
I want Catholic health care.
#NoRemdesvir
I want Catholic education.
#NoSexGroomingofchildren
Btw, Catholic Church is a Remnant. We lost Vatican
The government should not be in the business of raising taxes to support students and colleges in this way.
Too many people go to college because of this, anyway.
And this damn scams of usury... endless credit.
Soon we will be buying food on credit.
It's not good.
Market forces... no credit shenanigans, and prices will go down.

Certainly: "Healthcare and education are merely the most egregious examples on display."
