The Ray Dalio video is excellent. Thanks for posting it. We here in the UK are avidly awaiting Tuesday and all it brings.

I believe we’ll see a red wave but the more interesting question is what kind of Republicans get elected and what will they do with that power? Will the neocons get their way on the war in Ukraine and political interference elsewhere (eg Brazil)? Will Republicans continue to play the same old corrupt games - laundering money by granting contracts to their corporate mates (including defence contractors and big pharma) who repay them with big political donations? Will they dismantle or at least neuter the Deep State within the federal bureaucracy with the help of a SCOTUS who understands what the Constitution is all about?

One hopes the Republicans realise the game has changed - that the future of a secure, free, prosperous America for everyone is at stake - and that they choose to adapt to that hard, new reality. Will they be up for it? Time will tell.

Just defund the Army (we still have the Marine Corps and the Dems are more likely to use them against us than China anyway), the CIA, FBI, ATF, and DHS. That’s what $400-500bn per year right there

Americans hate "sustainable fiscal paths". We like modern monetary theory. So sure, Republicans can win both houses of Congress, inflict pain, and set up the Democrats to sweep 2024 by running as Santa Claus... again. :(

Let's see what kind of GOP Congress we get. As you say, the US is crying out for leadership. Who will be that leader? Please don't say Trump or Tulsi. We need someone a bit like that Russian guy. What was his name again?

Went to vote early today and CFL. The line was exceptionally long, but not by Disney standards. I usually can get in and out in 10 minutes and this time it took me about 30. Everyone was quiet and polite but I could just get a sense that everyone knew this was a big election for us all.

By the way, have you noticed that there will be a lunar eclipse on Tuesday morning? That means a blood red moon. Unless of course dominion has anything to say about it.

Lastly, with regards to the press, I think Tucker has done an excellent job when he shows the clips from all the different media agencies uttering the same phrase of the day. I think most people certainly recognize that the media is under some type of central control, by whom we don’t know. It is obvious though, that since the FCC rules changed years ago allowing consolidation of ownership that there is definitely an invisible hand of some agency or group guiding what is said both in print and electronic media and I think a lot of America sees it for what it is.

There were more changes I think in 1990, and then finally there was a recent Supreme Court ruling I believe last year regarding ownership rules.

Bottom line: all media is controlled by an oligarchy. Who this is is the big question? The good news is I think A lot more people see through it and are tired of it. I for one am going relish all the discovery that goes on with regards to the potato-head government’s collusion with big tech during Covid. I think these guys are really squirming and it should be delicious to watch the flop sweat which I believe is going to commence in just a few weeks.

Cautiously optimistic but I’ll believe the wave when it happens. I still see DC as a cancer on the country and any real change ain’t coming from there.

Got an extra chair, because that’s exactly where I find myself. Along with my “believe it when I see it” attitude is an abiding uneasiness about what the Republicans in the House and Senate will actually do if the wave materializes, especially with vermin like Mitch and all of his ilk. The last time they had all three branches, their less than stellar performance does not create a warm fuzzy feeling, not for me anyway.

Before, Trump was not feared by the Republicans in congress. His successful record of defeating congressional gop that voted for his impeachment should have some impact. If Murkowski is defeated, that will be a big boost for Trump’s influence.

I was just reading an old article, 2019, by Ron Unz. It parallels a lot of Mark wrote on the press and the mainstream narrative. It’s a disturbing read.

An instapundit quote, something like the media is protecting their parent companies, by not crossing China. Lots of media consolidation, Cbs owned by comcast. ABC by Disney. And all have operations in China, that opens them up to fear of retaliation (which China has done - NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg).

@Ray @Mark

Yes, the Unz article is disturbing...and disturbingly prescient. Thanks for sharing.

I couldn't help but fast forward to today and wonder what they've got on Joe Biden. Doesn't the Dennis Hastert story explain everything?

Makes me wonder what they've got on the current Speaker of the House. Before recent events.

And I am guessing that they just couldn't control Trump the way they controlled McCain...and so many others. But undoubtedly not for lack of trying...

FWIW, I have a good friend who, as a young FBI agent, was assigned to watch Trump when he entered Atlantic City. He got to know Trump very well and swears Trump is clean. It must infuriate those who would seek to control him.

My friend knows you Mark. You are the same vintage.

It strikes me Fetterman is another Hastert/McCain/Biden candidate. He is thoroughly undistinguished but would be absolutely beholden to the 'party'. I wonder what they've got on him.

Exactly. We are in the same frenzy of excitement that you get before the final of a big sports competition. I still don't see the GOP coming up with any stirring kind of "Let's turn things around" campaign slogans.
