Regarding the new permission to use Western weapons on Russia, it may or may not be related: Military Summary channel cited a uke report that the Kharkov front was difficult because Russian conscript units are active, behind the border yet within range for their personnel to heavily support artillery and counter-artillery operations. This is not the case in Donbass etc. as legally, conscripts are not allowed to be deployed outside Russia (proper), only contract or pmc units. So, perhaps the Western intent is tactical targeting Rather than strategic, we can hope.

This seems a most distressing vulnerability for Russia. I'm sure they are adapting now and did not anticipate this escalation. Remains to be seen how they will respond. I figure the UK was the primary combatant behind this.

You asked a rhetorical question in a post the other day about whether the US was trying to deliberately provoke Russia into using a tactical nuclear weapon, well with this latest development, if they aren’t, they are doing one hell of a good job imitating someone who is!!!!! This is total insanity!! Apparently they would prefer to rule over the ashes of the US than admit defeat! The first 300 names in the greater Boston phone book are looking better every day-apologies to William F.Buckley Jr.
