If it was on the table, it's probably off now - Saudi Arabia will become full member of BRICS.

Giving nukes to the most unstable region on Earth. What could possibly go wrong? The Duran boys are right on the money with the final quote above: this is all about Nov 2024. Once more we see that these maniacs will bring the world to the brink of disaster just to ensure that their gravy train stays on the tracks.

KSA and Iran in the same tent?

I don't think so, and maybe said so back in April. The Persians are vying to be the ME hegemon, erdogan thinks it is time for a re-assertion of ottoman sensibilities, mbs knows the Shi'ite are bat-guano crazy, and besides, he is running a Kingdom for goodness sake. Nobody else there is running a Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Egyptians are trying to get their act back together, praying to their almighty that the fools in WDC don't send any more help.

MBS is a cool, coy, cat. Saudi's will play the middle of the road for as long as they can. Slight hedges in each direction will drive Zhou and Sullivan crazy as the days creep forward to the election cycle.

As far as the US Nukes "looking the other way"... I can see this behavior from the NeoCon's and the Democrats. They have no honor and no regrets and therefore put nothing past these people to sink to new lows and jeopardize my kids and grandkids futures. They don't play by the same rules you and I follow. Slight of hand moves and litigate it down the road. Most recent example is the side swipe of the student loan decision by SCOTUS.

They won't stop unless we vote them out. However, with off-shore funding this seems more and more difficult. Who is this guy and can someone please invite him to dinner somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic.

We are beyond the point of ever voting our way out of this mess. The permanent government no longer works for We The People.

Maybe to cheer us all up, here's the final line from Tom Luongo's latest missive about the psychopaths. He was talking about Oliver Anthony and his song, but it has a general application: "Your days are numbered. The cycle has turned. We don’t want your money. We want our lives back that you stole from us one small toll at a time."

Wasn't it just back in April when we were discussing a rapprochement between teheran and riyadh... Brokered in Peking?

Why, yes it was.*

Now we are discussing nukes for ksa to fend off iranian hostility...

Whelp, since we're facilitating the iranian nuke program (with what, ? another USD $5Bbbillion last week or so), why not ensure nukes for everyone❓

Gives a while new meaning to MAD**

And the plea deals that are being considered for the five Saudi suspects, who have been held in the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay?

Hmmm, a definite turning point. If a fib (support for a nuclear weapon program by USA to KSA), the consequences are a hard-break between KSA & USA. If not a fib, that indicates the Zhou-regime is 'shooting its wad' - heaven help us, as that is a real Pandora's box. All regions will go nuclear within a generation if Zhou does this. Insane.

I don’t see what the US has to offer KSA for nukes. Nuke power plants at 4x the cost of China? And probably a lot longer build time.

There is an existing program:

https://www.mei.edu/publications/saudi-arabias-nuclear-program-and-china

And

https://beyondnuclearinternational.org/2022/08/28/the-saudi-path-to-nuclear-weapons/

And it looks like it will be a while before KSA can develop nukes, by then the 2024 election will be gone and the Biden Administration will go back to undermining the KSA.

KSA wants nuclear weapons due to Iran, and nuke power for desalination, and Uranium exports to diversify from oil.

KSA has long range Chinese missiles, and supposedly a deal with Pakistan they can borrow some nukes if threatened.

It seems a desperate move.

100% agree

Traditional bribe to KSA has been military equipment, but performance of Western Equipment has been sub par in Ukraine. What Saudis really need is anti drone and missile tech that works, which the West does not have.

What KSA really wants is to feel safe from Iran, but Biden Admin is courting Iran.

Israel peace, U.S. is at war with Netanyahu.

MBS is neither stupid nor vain. I guess he wouldn't be a good American politician.
