"the FISA court was highly critical (to say the <strike>least</strike> most) of the clear abuses that were going on" (FIFY).

Collyer (she of stern finger-wagging), Boasberg (he of Clinesmith wrist-slapping), Contreras (he of Strzok dinner buddy)...and who knows what others?

The degree of legal / justice corruption that gets exposed day by day is so overwhelming that I have begun shouting in my dreams. I do not remember my dreams, but my poor wife reports my latest was, "Do NOT pick up that gun!"

And those answers will not be forthcoming, ever. At least not in a form that the common person will care about.

The US "intelligence community" which has vital national security functions that are absolutely necessary has turned against the nation it was created to protect. Sort of like an autoimmune disease afflicting the nation!

I find the comparison to cancer more useful. It starts small. Unnoticeable. When caught early it can be removed and threat can be eliminated. But the possibility of return and recurrence always remain and so watchful vigilance become necessary. Left untreated however, it grows and then spreads to other parts. Given enough time it overwhelms the host and becomes lethal and takes down the host. Cancer is commonly staged and described on a scale between 1-4. Where on that scale our nation finds itself today is pretty far along I’m afraid. We caught it early, yet refused to remove and treat it. It silently grew and grew to where now it is absolutely overwhelming and threatening all of rest of the healthy tissue that remains. Given enough time unfortunately it will become unrecoverable.

I see your point about cancer. Government as a whole, local, state & federal has metastasized to such an extent as to threaten the life of our nation. Bureaucratic tentacles co-opt and weaken everyone and everything they touch, cancerous cells and bureaucracies are immortal, increases their dangers.

Study the history of ancient China. The bureaucrats buried the emperor behind layers of walls of bricks and bureaus until he could do nothing. Until the empire was over thrown

YES, Americans are also plagued by our own variety of Mandarins.

We are witnessing the death of the U.S. in real time.

What a time to be alive. You'll be able to one day say you were there when it all happened. You saw it all. If you survive the camps, that is.

Don't worry. Be happy. Own nothing. Not even a gun.

Agree. “ That’s rather mind blowing”

I doubt the RNC has an equivalent office.

You don’t think they are complicit and part of the problem?

I am sure as long as it targeted deplorables and/or tea party types, the RNC was fine with it.

The RNC's satellite office is in the DNC's main office. Faster coordination, lower phone bills.

Meh. If you look at scum like McCain & Romney, it's not very difficult to imagine they simply shared the office.

"The stench surrounding the judge, the defendant, the biased jury, and the FBI ought to outrage the public, no matter who they supported for president."

"NO MATTER WHO THEY SUPPORTED FOR PRESIDENT"

When are we going to see the end of this Pollyanna view of the world from pundits, influencers, and blathering ninnies? Is Lipson's head really this rectally impacted, or is this just more of the misguided obligatory genuflection to a set of common virtues that no longer exist?

Democrats don't give a rat's patootie that justice is being perverted. They EXPECT it to be perverted. That's why they leak draft opinions, threaten judges, stack juries, and hide evidence. When justice is not subverted they come unglued. So, I'd like a nickel for every piece I've read that takes this "more in sorrow than in anger" tone. When you're in a fox hole and you stand up and are hit by a sniper you do not say, "They should not have shot me no matter who they support in the war." They shot you because it is a war.
