The news of the day runs something like this: The US returned to Russia a Russian who was trying to horn in on the US global arms trade; in return Russia sent back an America hating lesbian basketball player; It turns out Twitter really was shadow banning people—yes, that passes as news;
I forgot to mention. Congress will throw nearly a trillion bucks at the military in the newest spending bill. Now, it's great that the mRNA injection mandate will apparently be done away with, but ...
This is a mountain of money for what is now probably the wokest and most powerful organization in the country, with no strings attached to all the crazy woke and leftist stuff the military is engaged in.
Why gadzooks? I keep saying that LE and Intel agencies pretty much reflect the LCD of society--certainly among those who either rise in rank or who gravitate to metro areas. This didn't use to be so much the case when those agencies could enforce their own hiring policies, but that hasn't been true for most of the past two decades.
Politics has always been a rich man’s game. No-one will ever become US President without some big money faction lined up behind them. Even Trump was rich. We could do worse having DeSantis as US President. Two years later, I now better understand what Trump stood for and what he was trying to do. But it doesn’t change the fact that he wasn’t able to find the right people to deliver his agenda and he made some pretty awful choices (John Bolton?!). I know he tried but I don’t think he’ll be any more successful next time around.
Today I’m grateful. I remember the morning after the election 2016. My routine back then was to go outside in the dark at 4:30 am for a smoke with my coffee and check the news on my phone. The night before I had resigned myself to HRC stealing the presidency. I was stunned to see otherwise that morning. I immediately went inside to wake my sleeping wife to wish her a happy birthday and share the incredible news of the greatest upset we both are ever to witness in our lives. Without that victory in 2016, I believe our situation would be so much worse today. It’s been a long strange trip indeed since November 9, 2016, but without Trump’s upset victory the cretins would not have so recklessly exposed themselves. For that I am grateful.
I believe Trump's time has passed, but he deserves the highest praise for some of his achievements. Most of all, he almost certainly ensured that one of the most evil people in US political life, HRC, will almost certainly never be POTUS.
An observation on the Twitter business - we've been given a curated view into how the high tech-Government nexus managed what users of one social media service saw after accounts and posts were removed from view or labeled negatively. We've yet to see how this nexus managed and manipulated users by originating content, and to what end.
You haven't covered the Sam Brinton story, or maybe I missed it. What a weird thing to put into the news parade! I can't help but think that J. Edgar Hoover would have had his panties in a knot over this DoE kid. What an amateur, with such delusions of untouchability.
There is NO remaining utility in America First (AF) remaining within the GOP. Maybe if we apologize more profusely, they'll stop beating us? If we only try harder to understand them, maybe they'll stop drinking and spending all the money on liquor and whores?
EDIT: DeSantis is the only mainstream political figure trying to make "Covid Accountability" into an issue. Unless maybe you count Ron Johnson? Not sure what to think about that. But I fear that fallout from Operation Warp Speed is going to neutralize Trump all on its own unless he can come to terms with what he's done.
No president ever has had any real power since rise of the permanent bureaucracy brought on by the creation of public employee unions. An oxymoron if there ever was one.

That's not serious. That's not conservative.
Don't worry, Mark. Most of that budget will go towards purchasing two of the new B21 white elephants. There won't be much left after that.
OT, but gadzooks! Just stumbled across a long list of former FBI/CIA agents that "Jim Baker'd" their way into Twitter upper management once Trump was elected - https://mobile.twitter.com/NameRedacted247/status/1600316966182715393

Are they still there?

Disturbing, but accurate comment:
“having taken a dive in three elections in a row”
The attempt by the eGOP to blame Trump for the midterms failure has failed.
The gop establishment is getting a lot more blame, and gop voters are highly upset with them. Gop Voters are feeling betrayed.
And the awareness of election fraud at 70% is huge.
And the Twitter releases are eye opening.
As is the increase conservative reach on Twitter, after the censorship of the old regime.
Good news is a lot more awareness of the lies. Huge increase in anger.
Trump is also union friendly.
And as the economy’s impact is felt more, it will increase the anger.
And the only politician that seems aware of this is Trump.

What a country!
I thought you couldn't get worse than Levine and Buttpounder, but those gosh darn Dems succeeded.
A-effing-men!

BURN. IT. TO. THE. GROUND.
+1
My fear.
Lots of background on DeSantis here, if you have the patience to sit through an hour of talk.

True - Covid Jab, aka gene therapy, is a major issue for Trump.
My guess is Trump has kept a laser focus on the election fraud issue.
And it may also be a timing issue.
Musk will be brought into the cabal. He’s not going to give up all that he’s created. He’s an engineer not an ideologue.
Forgive my ignorance, but hasn’t heard the bush family friend part before…care to elaborate?
Thank you. I never heard this before. Another reason to hate the Bush wing of the Janus party.
