The Reds have pretty much never seen a war or genocide they didn't like, as long as the Empire was doing it. I like the Massie/Paul wing of the Republicans, but that's maybe 20% of GOP voters. Other than those guys (and Rand's dad), the only opposition to imperial wars of aggression, Israeli genocides and the like have come from the Left, and that's apparently as true as ever.

Polling I've seen is that RFKjr hurts Biden worse than Trump. The indicator is the full court press they're bringing out. They had 12 family members with Zhou last week to say they were voting for him. They know he's hanging by a thread, despite all the lawfare.

I'm sure I'll vote for him too....just so effing frustrated about the Ukraine lying and throwing borrowed $$$ down a rathole of corruption.

Various factions of the Israelite usurpers have different apparent priorities: some neocons prioritize Israel über Alles, some prioritize war against Russia, and a domestically-oriented wing prioritizes open borders, 'migrant' invaders replacing Whites, trannys replacing women, and other measures of the controlled demolition of the West. They all support their 'intelligence community' having unlimited surv eillance and censorship powers.

What they have in common is Jewish supremacism, and support for global Jewish domination over the goyim. This is almost never acknowledged, but it's the bedrock basis of their ethnoreligion.

With this bill, they got war with Russia, support for their genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, surveillance, and more open borders. What Americans want makes no difference: Congress does what the Israelites pay it to do, as does nearly the entire political class.

Reject AIPAC resists them on Israel.

It's unfortunately a progressive group, but there seems to be no GOP alternative.

“Trump is trying to reassure the Deep State that there won’t be any swamp draining….”

Do think that after his first term and the endless betrayals by DS players, can you say Bill Barr, he actually believes that he can out maneuver these people? The Covid fiasco and now to be a virtual front man for this Ukraine spending bill, well, it leaves me pretty discouraged and more than a little pessimistic about November. We are truly undone as a nation if this is the best we have to look forward to when it comes to fixing this mess.

Expand full comment

Trump sees Ukraine as a distraction, so he wants to spend as little of his political capital as possible on the Ukraine fiasco, so Biden owns it 100%.

Trumps is focused on all the lawfare directed at him, and playing the media to get through the censorship of him, so he wins the election. It’s a bit ruthless, but Ukraine had heavy involvement in one of his impeachments, along with Biden’s bag man Eric Ciaramella (so how did he end up in the Trump Administration?).

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/yikes-impeachment-whistleblower-was-loop-biden-ukraine-affairs-trump-wanted-probed

Biden’s and the eGOP strategy seems to get the Ukraine’s collapse past the November election.

I wonder if Russia cares if Ukraine falls before or after the election? My guess is Russia will continue its strategy of aggressive attrition, while minimizing their casualties, while pressuring Ukraine on multiple fronts. Putin needs to keep on making progress on Ukraine, too much Russian blood has been spilled. Ukraine delenda est

Russia is not about grabbing land, hence why the Dnieper River bridges are still up (Larry Johnson and the Duran view it as a mystery), but destroying the military potential of Ukraine and the West, both people and equipment.

Expand full comment

Putin has stated a preference for Biden. Maybe just trolling, but I think Biden gives predictability, no matter how evil. Then Russia can make their plans and counter plans. With Trump, you never know what part of the imperial gambit will move forward.

Also, I think land is very much in play now, if only because Russia recognizes a need for stand off from Ukraine. The bridges stand because they'll need them when the army is on the other side.

Expand full comment

The land will be conquered since Russia wants a buffer zone and Ukraine has shown it can’t be trusted. The continued shelling of Russian civilian areas shows that. All that will remain of Ukraine will be a landlocked rump state.

My hypothesis is Russia has set a higher priority on destroying Ukraine’s military, than land, at this time.

Expand full comment

Agreed, western observers mock Russia because they haven't taken more land, but Russia's strategy has focused on degrading Ukraine's military.

Odessa will be key for improving security of Black Sea fleet and denying access to NATO.

Expand full comment

Yes. Odessa will be key.

Expand full comment

Second that hypothesis Ray. Once the resistance is eliminated the land can be taken - what they want of it - in a matter of days. Quite plausibly Russia may 'take' more than they genuinely want and then concede some bits back again, as long as it is kept 'neutral'.

Funny how all the talk is about taking the Palestinian land for the oil and gas resources off their coast lineover shadows the hypocrisy of the Kushners and Blackrocks openly touting the shore land for development as a playground for the rich. How does that square with the rising oceans of climate change?

Zelensky's term of office expires May 20th this year. Then what?

Expand full comment

As I understand it Russia have said they would not negotiate _anything_ with Zelensky once that date passes. He would no longer be a legitimate head of state. Since the Russian line is also that they do not assassinate heads of state one can infer an implied threat. A Western false flag assassin, or genuinely pissed-off Ukrainians, may of course get to him first. About four weeks to pack those crates..? He might head a government in absentia I guess, but to me it looks as if all the value has been squeezed out of his wretched carcass.

Yup. If the Ukraine war is off the table for November (because what's to debate? We've paid up. Now its Ukraine's, Russia's and the EU's war...), and Israel is off the table (same reason: we've paid up and of course we all support 'Israel') and abortion is off the table (because its a state by state matter), Trump can simply run on the border, inflation and the economy, crazy wokeness and Biden's senility. Who wins that election?

I’ll agree on Trump.

Johnson either got played, folded, or is compromised.

Johnson inexperienced, and prior to be elected speaker was an unknown.

Suspicious stuff. not saving Santos reduced the Rep majority. Fisa renewal after Trump came out against it? The budget deal, and then this Ukraine aid. And the slow loss of the house gop majority with no effort to stop it.

He’s better than Kevin McCarthy, but…

Swag…

Lawfare is a killshot aimed at Trump. It’s Trumps major focus plus winning the election.

This stupid Ukrainian funding will have no impact on the war, and Trump’s lackluster support will be a footnote for Trump voters in 2 months, and the election just over 6 months away. Biden owns Ukraine.

A bigger issue is if the house flips to the Dems before the election.

Congress continues to govern in a state of permanent "Emergency." Somehow, somewhere there is always an "Emergency" that allegedly requires lavish state funding. Whatever "Emergency" is alleged to exist in April 2024 requires the US to appropriate $24 billion for Israel

They clearly do. As I argued not long ago, the Trump court, while certainly not perfect, has made a definite difference. But the Court acts only over extended periods, which means they can get outpaced. Still, there have been hopeful initiatives in some Red states. The Deep State is arguably the biggest problem, the source of a large portion of the spending and debt, of the surveillance state, the empowerment of the natsec agencies, etc.

Thanks Mark. The courts are well down steam and after the acts of harm, and aside from occasional SCOTUS cases, is about enforcement of the old law/politics. Looking to the courts is a hail mary. They enforce the cultural consensus of the era, which we no longer have…
