Now I understand why hippies started calling money bread; 'bread and circuses' equal 'money and war.'

"Mission Accomplished!" I wonder if Trump will wear a macho leather flying jacket like Bush Jr did when he announced it. Let's see how Iran responds.

Thanks for getting it Mark. And thanks to Michael Hudson. A great whistleblower. This of course is what the Zionist/Neocon/Straussian mafia has been riding to victory. Next up? Samson option.

One of the evils of paper money is that it turns the whole country into stock jobbers. The precariousness of its value and the uncertainty of its fate continually operate, night and day, to produce this destructive effect. Having no real value in itself it depends for support upon accident, caprice, and party; and as it is the interest of some to depreciate and of others to raise its value, there is a continual invention going on that destroys the morals of the country.

"How on earth can people people say that Iran is a threat to the United States? Well, it's a threat to the United States because it exists and the United States does not control it, ..."

That's exactly why the Deep State hates us, too. They don't control all of us, yet.

Fascinating article, Mark. You keep getting better all the time. Thank you.

Digital Paradigm: ALL of the old narratives are dead…new ones will be created. Much like the non West has been reorganizing/building, (BRICS) the most obvious, in light of the changed human context, so too will the West. Debt? What debt? Want to stick to us? We will just not pay up. Don’t think that the rest of the World has not thought of this. Trump reflects the massive uncertainty of what buttons will be pressed and when.

Think of Trumps formative years: Ike and Kennedy and what was put in place from Bretton Woods and all the other agreements the Brits and US put in place.

We tend to assume that he refers to the 80s and Reagan and “greatness,” but that is superficial. He thinks in terms of before the world went nuts the last time during the late 1960s/70s. The world that “assassinated” Nixon, who more reflects Ike and Trump than any other.

Think about “authority.” That is the word for today, worldwide. How has it and what does it mean?
