Several days after the drone attack on the Kremlin speculation continues to swirl. Despite official US denials, the betting is—understandably—that the US was behind the attack. I mean, who believes official US denials, especially denials coming from this regime? Given that the attack was at least a simulation of an attack of President Putin personally, this was a major escalation—nevermind how ineffectual it may have been in reality. My view is that this doesn’t look like a Russian version of the Tonkin Gulf Incident or the Reichstag fire—for starters, if that was their intent, I’m sure they could have done a much more convincing job of it. That leaves us with Ukraine or the West (US/UK) as the actors.
Perhaps US / UK is hoping to give perception of some Ukrainian Successes with the attacks as a distraction?
Building major economic events:
1. End of libor
2. Economic impact of higher interest rates to organizations, especially highly leveraged, needing zero interest rates to survive. Perhaps ECB and Blackrock?
3. US Debt negotiations
4. Emptying of us oil reserve
5. Acceleration of de-dollarization in foreign trade.
And within a month the actual state of the Ukrainian Military will probably be truth bombed with major Russian Victories.
Zelensky does what he’s told, has a huge brand as the heroic Ukrainian Leader, so I doubt the West wants him removed. The China call was due to hubris, thinking his heroic public stature / status in the West would be similar to the Chinese. My guess his goal was to weaken Chinese support for Russia.

Yes, geopolitically--which includes economic and financial relations--there are a lot of things coming toward us that can't be turned aside--some may take place over a period of years, others very soon. A false flag is possible, but the timing of the Zelensky Flight makes this doubtful.
The UK and US do not understand Russian Mindset. They think they can do a Doolittle Raid to demoralize the Russians, and show the Ukrainian's are doing something. When the major supplier of money, weapons & combat intel, the primary resistor to peace talks, a regime whose SecDef & the leaders of each of the major political parties all have called for regime change in Moscow as their goal in a war they instigated for no other reason, accusing them of these strikes is table stakes.
