Everything isn’t totally in place yet, nor is the field of play totally where I, for one, would like it to be. Nevertheless, some of the big issues as well as blocking issues are falling into place. Examples: Here’s a tweet I got from Red State. It identifies two losing Dem issues—one that nobody cares about, and one that
This is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway, because I'm not a finance guy. How, exactly, would the loans be forgiven? I a private company holds a student loan, then the government would presumably have to pay it off. How? Would Congress vote an appropriation? Would the Fed just purchase the notes? If Congress is asked to vote the money, would the GOP go along? Would they move to block it? How do the politics play out?
If the Fed just creates the money, then they hold the loans, and they become part of Fed's balance sheet. What are the consequences of this?
The better question might be, who do they DC Oligarchs want to take the hit? The easiest way would be for the fed to buy up all those loans and then write them off. What's another several trillions of debt between friends? But if the Oligarchs wanted to punish the banks or extort them they could simply allow the debts to be discharged in bankruptcy.
What ever happened to Herbert Hoover? He was reported to have been very clever. Now we have Biden, who has Obama's endorsement for being expert at messing things up. I suggest in November we may be facing not Recession but Depression, with high prices on whatever merchandise does make it to the shelves. If everybody is really unhappy and all Washington gets the blame, there is hope and a maybe a big, big change, to paraphrase Obama.
President Biden has decided the federal government will launch a Disinformation Governance Board under the authority of the Homeland Security Department
Did you think they would just let you have free speech back?
So, add the "Ministry of Truth" (formerly known as Twitter) to the "Ministry of Peace" (the State Department), and the "Ministry of Plenty" (TBD but not far off).
If Republicans take control of both Houses in the mid-terms, the impeachment of Garland, Mayorkas and others in this incompetent and malevolent administration should be high on the agenda.
Based on McCarthy’s reaction to being caught in a lie about betraying DJT and the Republican caucuse’s response, standing ovation, I’m afraid “we” are going to be betrayed again, even if the Republicans do own the House and Senate. I’m convinced that there is only a very small handful of Republicans in DC who actually care about what’s best for the country and their constituents, the rest are only interested in what’s in it for them.
The only cabinet member to be impeached was Secretary of war William W. Belknap, he was impeached and acquitted in 1876 on charges of criminal disregard for his office and accepting payments in exchange for making official appointments. Lots of criminal disregard for office goes unpunished in DC these days.
This is promising:

What makes you think "Republicans" as you call them don't want Garland and Majerkas and all the other clowns and corruptocrats in office?
I’m trying to remember if/when cabinet members have been impeached? Has it ever happened? Where is it in the constitution? I’m all for it but.....

Absolutely.
