When running the household goes south, I’m only a phone call or plane ride away, just saying.

LOL! We did this four years ago, we can do it again. We're spending the evening getting things in order. We've positioned the recliner that's usually in my man cave to be near the kitchen door--close to a bathroom and within earshot of the kitchen so my wife can shout instructions. My wife will sleep downstairs on the recliner--avoiding the stairs and keeping the knee elevated--and can call me in the middle of the night when need arises. That worked before so we'll start from there.

80 years old . No thanks, I think we've all had enough of the octogenarians. I voted for Trump twice but its time for fresh leadership. Baby boomers are no longer the largest voting block , the millennials are and they hate Trump. It's time to put another Ron in the White House. I'm supporting DeSantis for President.

My wife had knee surgery in May, recovered well, and decided to have her second knee two and a half weeks ago. Much less pain this time. Everybody is different, hope all goes well for your wife. Trump and Reagan were the 2 best presidents of my lifetime. The DOJ seems to now interfere in every election these days. Term limits need to retire these old politicians. The voting day has now been blown up, keep counting after election "day" until you stuff the ballot box to overturn the will of the people. There should be a law that all votes are counted by 8 am the day after the election. Love what President Trump did, but we need a youth movement with Desantis.

Mark, my wife just had her right knee done Aug. 30 and is progressing nicely, but not ready to drive yet. So, like you, I have been managing the household chores. She needs the left knee done too, but likely to put that off for a while to fully heal before going through it a second time. Good luck to your wife and may her recovery be swift and complete. God bless.

¿ Is Trump Still The Best Chance For 2024 ?

Yes.

Trump neither jumped the shark nor got set up by J6. To thinking Americans it was a setup, a Reichstag fire staged by Pelosi and the Capitol police. That Washington and the Courts wink and look the other way doesn't change the facts and the best elements in this Country have had it. Whatever the history books say, we the people regard our government as illegitimate, and those clowns can expect zero support for whatever they propose to do in the future.

Should we want our government back Trump is the only possible solution in the near future, but it will be messy as he has proposed to confront the establishment as no other politician would. Why can't we just get along? Because we can't.

Best wishes to your wife for the surgery. My wife had one knee replacement but hesitates to do the second, as the therapy necessary afterwards is not fun, but it works. Courage!

"those clowns can expect zero support for whatever they propose to do in the future."

What if they require zero support in order to do what they propose? THAT sure seems how it looks to me. THAT is the problem in a nutshell. The people no longer have the ability to stop or even deflect TPTB from pursuing their agenda. Many of the most important issues are not even debated or legislated. They are accomplished by executive order or rammed through Congress imperiously. The government has disbanded the people and needs no replacement to perpetuate their power and control. Ballot printing and counting machines are all that is necessary to do what they propose.

If they propose to ruin the Country, you are right. We will survive as individuals. When things get hairy, don't expect the proles to sacrifice, or even cooperate, to right the ship. Belisarius referenced an article by VDH where he dares to compare Trump, who righted the Ship of State after decades of decline, to Queeg who almost sank his ship.

We'll just have to see. I think there will be multiple crises coming up in the near future and it's a question of whether anyone will rise to the occasion, show that they can advance a vision for the country.

Agreed. Someone said that a week is a long time in politics. Two years is an eternity. Who knows what crises await us? It's also a moot argument unless we sort out voter fraud.

Quoting from https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/11/10/president-trump-fires-back-against-ron-desantis-con-inc-and-coordinated-narrative-midterm-effort :

DeSantis’ megadonor and Citadel hedge fund billionaire, Ken Griffin, openly admitted recently the Wall Street goals are (1) stop the populist movement and (2) get the Republican Party back in alignment with the multinational “corporate world.” These are the same goals of the Republican leadership in Washington DC and the same goals as the corporate media who serve as the public relations firms for Wall Street.

As a FL resident, I want him to stay here all four years and solidify what he has set in place. JEB! was a pretty good governor (aside from his Common Core dalliance) but I sure didn’t want him as president. RDS may prove to have the stones to stand up to the globalist but I think he needs more seasoning to stand a good chance at that.

Ultimately, DeSantis won't be able to stand up to the globalist, oligarchical eugenicists. He's got a very young family to think about, and unfortunately these considerations will weaken his resolve. Right now, Trump is the only one capable of standing in the breach and withstanding the onslaught.

Beautifully put. I am sick and tired of hearing that Trump needs to change, to learn from his mistakes. Would that I had conducted my life making mistakes like Trump, who brought prosperity to this Country after decades of decline. How he managed to institute policies which had to be overturned as soon as Biden came in, because they were contrary to Washington's selfish interests and in our favor, all the while working with people who were out to get him, is miraculous. We not only show no appreciation but even assume we do him a favor by grudgingly giving him our support, with conditions and disclaimers of course. How many local elections did we allow to get stolen this last election? The excuse I have read in many commentaries is that Trump was somehow responsible for the poor showing.

In your opinion, but it appears to be a highly uninformed opinion. The evidence of a set up is rife with hard evidence, have you been paying attention? J6 is a manifestation of political criminals with holocaust envy.

Trump got set up beautifully by J6. I would rank it up there with the Steele Dossier for amazing political hit jobs. It instantly made any talk of election issues Toxic.

And many of the the J6 Useful Idiots are still awaiting trial, almost 2 years later. And where is the GOP support for them? Compare and contrast to how the Democrats and allies, supported BLM Rioters, along with Antifa.

And we still have no information who Ray Epps, and his collaborators, were working for.

I am amazed the FBI delayed for a year, any investigation of the bombs found on J6.

The J6 prisoners were asked to go home by Trump on that day. They did him no favors by going into the Capitol. His support would now be interpreted as if they were following his wishes on that day, and would not be beneficial to them.

I’m not sure.

Trump could have helped Money to get good lawyers. Shaming the gop establishment for letting this abuse go on. Fighting the Jan 6 narrative of worse than 9-11, the double standard of justice, etc.

My guess is Trump focused on the election fraud issue, while fighting all the lawfare against him. And the lawfare would have used any Jan 6th support against Trump. While Trump is also censored by all media channels online and offline, including any discussion of voter fraud and Jan 6th.

Perfectly said. I would add only that Trump--and the hooligans--should have known that a massive gathering would be susceptible to political machinations. The focus should have remained on the "Green Bay Sweep" process that was going to be effected in Congress that day --allowing several states to contest their electors and petition for more time to determine the legitimacy of their elections. The riot at the Capitol destroyed any remaining chance Trump had.
