Between demographics and vote fraud the GOP's position in national elections is unsalvageable. So it's whoever the inner party picks. Will that be Brandon or Michelle? I don't know but don't count Brandon out. The GOP can't remove him by impeachment, I wouldn't bet on them trying, and DOJ isn't going to indict a sitting President, especially one who isn't a Republican.
With the deteriorating situation overseas, there may be people in the NatSec establishment who have buyer's regret, but they're morally bankrupted from having helped install him and can't remove him in favor of a Republican without raising the prospect of a possible investigation into their various anti-Trump shenanigans. If the inner party decides that Biden is a useful enough figurehead, they'll go along.
Until the GOP fights the Election Fraud Issues, I see VERY little chance of another GOP President.
My gut feeling is the GOP is happy with the scraps it gets, and does not want to cause PROBLEMS. The same strategy the CA GOP used, and look where they are now - no longer a relevant political player in CA Politics.
Good article, very depressing, but that feels accurate:
Savor Trump’s Electoral Landslide -- Until the Phantoms Vote
If this is true, she's going to be the next President. It'll be Barry's 4th term. The results of the last election assure it. I don't believe all the Dominion crap. CTH had a piece not too long ago about "Envelopes". It's all about the envelopes - how many there are and who counts the most. The Democrat party is miles ahead of the money hungry RNC in this respect. They've completed the corruption of our voting system and will use it to their advantage until stopped.
…I thought regime change was in the works on the Moskva, not the Potomac! Funny how both Zel and Zhou are on “thin ice” at the same time…what immeasurable pain and suffering these two have caused their respective countries…
Is it for Michelle? No, I just don't see her giving up her new life as a multi millionaire celebrity. This is what made Trump such an incredible story, everything he gave up. Obama's are too selfish.
It will be someone else, maybe Newsome, but I still have my eye on Susan Rice. There will be no debate, who cares about polls, just run the Katie Hobbs campaign and collect those ballots.
Interesting to me is in your conclusion framing what is the 'state of our dis-union': "Do the Dems really believe 2016 was the last election that didn’t go according to their script? Do they really believe that presidential elections are like grand juries and indictments? Are they right? If they are right that will mean that four disastrous years—war, economy, culture, constitutional collapse, you name it—make no difference."
I'd submit this "belief" emanates from the 2009-2017 years & Obama's success at, [as the not-so notable publication's headline]: 'we are all socialists now' connotates conversion/destruction of that Constitution you reference as collapsed. That undesirable interruption of President Trump aside...
I agree, BTW, that the foundation of this Country in the Declaration of Independence and said Constitution has significantly been undermined, if not yet collapsed. {Sadly I agree, I'll add}.
While much foundation of this demise goes back decades, the success of Obama's terrorist reign is seen across many fronts, from this debacle in the Ukraine but also in more common, basic and 'taken for granted' life-functions such as our medical care system. Now it's a Corporate-Medical provision system known as 'Obamacare' (no thanks to Arizona Republican John McCain). I live in a pretty 'Red' state: but of 5 doctor appointments I've had this year, one - ONE - was with an actual PhD Doctor. *PAs, NAs and clinical nurses are wonderfully intended care-givers. Yet I sit here now dedicated to finding 'Alternate-Care' providers due to the abject failures of these corporate medical-care operatives.
Sorry for the digression, but Mark, your list of Disasters (in 27 months thus far and including inflation likely exceeding the previous 10 years) includes a much broader array of failures and failing agencies and programs that once were World-renowned hallmarks. (How did we so rapidly forget universality of the socialist program failures...? Canadians were famous for seeking important medical care in the US as their waiting lists were kept shorter more by the passing away of listees rather than illness resolution. A model emulated by our very own VA system, I'd note).
And Biden got 81 million votes; there are now 15%+ Female homosexual/bi-sexual/(sorry, I forget the current politically correct term) when but a decade ago an approximately 3% number had been an historical fact; seemingly all things weird rule the news; and on, and on. I really must look for more positive news to dwell on, it appears.
I think my problem lays is exactly what you presented today - this bizarre set of current circumstances apparently make no difference. Not as long as the Social-Network internet feed continues into all those smart-phones that absorb the populace's attention... I do offer all my best regards (*while apologizing for sharing my negativity!). (WrH)
I think the critical year in your timeline was 2012. That's when domestic spying was formalized, to pull Obama through the 2012 election. They thought it would get Hillary past Trump, too.
Mark reminds us of that really 'successful' year (2012) in the undermining of our Liberty but the 2010 attack against the Tea Party was indeed a cornerstone for it. We forget tolerance of the IRS weaponization was the key for the opening of that "Pandora's box". Thanks for that reminder DF B: we must not forget these specific times. Especially should we somehow recover... My best at you! (WrH)
I'm not convinced the Trump win was a surrender (my poor interpretation of your note of which I appreciate you sharing). I do hope you're right about the Obama thing. The 'flaky electorate' (aka 81 million Biden votes) only may need such an excuse as 'Michael/Michele' since that name ends w/Obama. Qualification/capability to govern not required in that realm unfortunately. Best regards! (WrH)
G'day Castelletto, I tend to assign more 'intelligent' planning behind things such as that vote count disparity. For instance, while 'winning that election' I'd suggest undermining confidence in the electoral process is far more the goal... yet likely cheating to win required such an extreme number of votes (16 million is likely right on, as you suggest). Of course, collateral/unintentional damage of our voting being corrupt is 'welcome' since it's responsible citizens who notice and would likely be driven away from casting their votes. I'll point out the 21st century democrat party voter does not present as 'responsible'... I do welcome and appreciate your comments-thanks for sharing and your insights. (WrH)
R-No! I do hope you're right. Altho', total incompetency would be better than intentional, debased competency, she'd just be a puppet/pawn for the 'Deep State', etc. anyways.
Do you think, as a country, we need to hit some kind of 'bottom' before intelligence, logic and critical thinking return to the 'voters'? (I'll add I hope a bottom comes soon - How Low Can We Go is okay doing the limbo but...)
I have great confidence in an informed populace voting: perhaps the Twitter censorship exposure is a crack in that mass-dumbing edifice represented by the MSM (etc.) Altho, even in our little reasonable conservative state, there's a lot of dumb still going on.
I hope you're having an awesome spring! As always, my best regards, (WrH)
Among the other ways they have been “printing money” is the pause on student loan payments (going on 3 years now). Ending this payment moratorium (scheduled for August) will be yet another body blow to the zombie economy.
You speak reality and truth: a big part of a possible bottom will be financial. May I suggest somehow a moral bottom is needed, too? Amongst a general civilizational bottom...
My whine in those facts you list is in my being kind of early in retirement. That means I'll probably have to live a couple decades beyond the fast-coming financial mess... and since most of my retirement income is from life-long savings, the reality of our debt-economy failures being reset will include loss of private retirement savings. Upside? Yes there's some for me; I retained my 'real' CDL and can still pass a physical to drive. I learned how to work as a kid and should be able to provide some value in a future economy for sustenance. Fact is, I didn't plan for this, but who did? I did manage to wind up in an area that has basic economy stuff; Agriculture in particular and my home is reasonably defensible. Deer pass through my back yard, wild turkeys are a nuisance now but are good food... etc. And, the big-city escapees/raiders likely won't get very far should they venture here. What a sad, but necessary thing to think about!
I'll note my ultimate fall-back position: that is in my Faith. It's been a long time since I quit "Trust in Gov't" so am hedged already away from that...
As ALWAYS RNo, I appreciate you, your comments, humor and lack of fear of addressing reality. (WrH) *(Ps., I avoided intentionally the possibility of a 'nuclear option'... that is a whole different gig, of course).
I suspect that you are wrong about that, although I'm hardly a good source, as I watch zero TV aside from movies. I do, however, read news voraciously, as much now that I'm retired as I did when employed in a national security setting. Michelle Obama, of whom I am not a fan, to say the least, has a way of connecting to the public that none of the current pretenders to the throne (Biden, Harris, Trump, De Santis--I will not go further than that) have at all. Nobody remembers, except for a very few, her earlier blunders on the campaign trail (e.g.,
Why would you include Trump and DeSantis in the same sentence as Biden and Harris as “the pretenders of the throne?”
One side is evil. We’re at war because of them. Our country is changed forever due to their policies. You might not like or agree with Trump or DeSantis but at least know what side is pure evil and the greatest pretenders of the lot.
I would like to note there may be some semblance of public sanity emerging on the trans issue. Apparently, right here in true blue, blue ist of blue States, Massachusetts, at a Red Sox game, the common man, the silent majority, the group that never seeks notoriety, bought beer in quantity, but spoke loudly by not purchasing Bud light. Perhaps that is because the entire trans movement is a figment of the media’s collective imagination or some other reason not shared by the average American.
Why did susan rice depart her position? To get away from the looming biden proof of corruption or is her state deep enough and ego inflated enough to run?
I think the best candidate they have is RFK Jr. But they will do everything they can to sideline him. I think he is as much (or more?) of a threat to them and the deep state as Trump.
Between demographics and vote fraud the GOP's position in national elections is unsalvageable. So it's whoever the inner party picks. Will that be Brandon or Michelle? We've been hearing "any time now" for a few years. Until somebody actually does something, there's no news.
G' May-Day Mark and all,

And the blatant weaponization of the IRS to squash any and all “tea party” groups occurred during that election also.

Yeah, I agree with that. They need Zhou gone ASAP, but ... who?
There’s another JB waiting in the wings. He’s so delusional about the bang up job he’s doing ruining Illinois.
Hey that’s my gov you’re alluding too. Please continue.
Jabba the governor? Wait till the electorate finds out he's got princess Leia tied up in the Governor's mansion basement?
1. Nobody that ugly can get elected.
2. Chicago.
And undo progress on immigration, Transphobia, govt regulation, and the debt? C’mon man.
Maybe we’ll see Biden on the tarmac in Phoenix talking to Garland.
That's Dr. Jill Biden on the tarmac.
He just needs to be convinced to abandon his re-election bid.
Does he need to be convinced or does President Edith Wilson Biden need to be convinced?
President Edith Wilson Biden… a.k.a., Lady Macbeth Biden.
