The countdown to war may have started with the terror attack in Iran—we can hope not, but the Israel and its American proxy are pushing hard for war. I’ll update from Megatron_ron’s X-feed, all from today:
A final warning to the Houthis from the US and "friends"
The United States and its other client states have issued a statement saying that the Yemenis must immediately stop threatening the global shipping lane or face consequences.
The State Department:
"The US was not involved in any way in the terrorist attack in Iran and has no reason to believe Israel was involved either"
Also, USDoS has a bridge for sale. Everyone knows that the MEK, a likely proxy used for the bombing in Iran, is supported by the US and Israel.
The Middle East is on the brink of a major regional war
Today's attack in Iran, in which more than 210 people have officially died so far, is only one such major blow to Iran in the last few days.
First, Israel, probably with the green light of the United States, killed the Iranian General Moussavi in an airstrike in Syria. Yesterday killed the leader of Hamas in the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, and today the Mossad, according to Iranian officials, although Israel denied, carried out a terrorist attack in Iran and caused a massacre of over 210 dead and many injured. The terrorist attack was carried out with briefcase bombs that were detonated remotely by remote control, a technology typical of the Mossad.
It is already obvious that Israel and the US are openly challenging Iran to a major war.
In addition, the United States and some of its vassal states sent a final warning to the Houthis of Yemen. If they do not stop the attacks on the ships heading towards Israel, they will bear the consequences.
Today, The Wall Street Journal also wrote that the action plan to attack the Houthis is ready.
Currently, The Supreme National Security Council of Iran will convene an emergency meeting soon.
One thing is clear that Israel has realized that it cannot defeat the Palestinians alone, so it will look for an excuse for the US to go directly to war.
That is why Iran is currently being provoked to the maximum. Currently the situation in the Middle East is very tense.
Here’s our mostly peaceful presence in the region. Why?
This morning, before the full scope of the terror attack on Iran was clear, I listened to Brian Berletic. I’m going to cue this video up about halfway through. At that point Brian begins to discuss the long held Neocon dream of ginning up a war against Iran under a pretext. He discusses a 2009 Brookings study extensively that is quite explicit about the pretext part of that, as well as a more recent Rand study:
Brookings Institution - Which Path to Persia? Options for a New American Strategy toward Iran (2009)
Among other very relative issues that Brian gets into is the whole question of how/whether Iran will respond to this extreme provocation:
Next I want to cue up two brief excerpts from a Judge Napolitano discussion with Max Blumenthal. I don’t know how to do excerpts, so I’ll cue up the video separately where I believe the most interest is.
In the first part, Blumenthal presents the Harvard situation as a “microcosm” for American politics more generally. This part is only a few minutes long, but it’s incisive:
Where is Israel leading its American proxy, and where will our overall lack of a strategy (Macgregor) land us?
We shall see.
I just read that John Pilger, back in '84, broke the story that the British SAS was training Pol Pot's guys.

There is nobody except the most brainwashed consumer of billionaire and state media, who does not know that every major Sunni terrorist organisation
- Al Qaeda, al-Nusra, Isis etc etc -
has been a creature of the US, Israel and the Gulf states.
We know who bombed Iran.
"We are now fully immersed in an end of empire epoch, with all its attendant uncertainties and unforeseen calamities. Ends of empire assume a malleable logic that defies precise prediction. And although this iteration, like those before it, will undoubtedly call forth a few great leaders and statesmen, it will be an era that will exalt many charlatans and fools into positions of great power where they will do predictably stupid and ultimately catastrophic things."
