Matt Taibbi I would consider trustworthy. I am suspicious of Shellenberger. Is he controlled opposition so the CIA can monitor and control the release of this information? A little paranoia these days is healthy in evaluating what we are presented.

Every day seems to produce revelations that drive yet another nail into the coffin of this country! The corruption and deception is so ubiquitous that there doesn’t appear to be any way to salvage what’s left. Putin’s characterization was apt, this country is truly an “Empire of Lies”! Sad and infuriating at the same time. And they wonder why recruitment is down?

Matt Taibbi discusses the day 1 drop. Around 90 minutes long. Not much new for readers of Mark’s blog. He went through how they got the information, and why they felt it was solid, and the supporting evidence. 26 people associated with the Trump campaign were targeted. Taibbi is in shock the hit job was so obviously deliberately political, my guess is he previously thought it was just government incompetency and bad reporting. He still comes across as a bit naive with the both parties do it comment.

Emerald R. Suggested Michael S. Has Intel relations, through his father. And he was very pro the Covid madness in a Twitter account that is now blocked down. Perhaps doing a limited hangout?

She had 2 posts on him:

My 2 cents - strange.

I’ve admired a lot of what he has published on the real issues in California.

What’s the rationale for now sharing this information with the House Intelligence committee? Guilt by some? Seth Rich information? Need to confirm (hegemony) who’s actually in charge?

As President Teump should absolutely declassify documents right away with the backing of ALL Republicans in both chambers else he’ll be impeached again.

Gut feeling, or just paranoia…

Limited hangout as a distraction before something is released, to reduce the fallout.

Getting on Fox News is suspicious.

This news is being ignored by the traditional media.

I wonder if it’s Seth Rich’s laptop?

It's been clear for over 5 years that this happened.

The "why now" through Taibbi and Co is what I am interested in.

This is a Soap Opera Rerun.

Seems to be pretty obvious. They are terrified. Should Trump somehow be elected again the jig will be up. Hard proof that cannot be easily hidden via special counsels or any cover up activity. One can expect washed hard drives, burn barrels and shredders will be employed.

I listed to Taibbi’s racket news on the day 1 article. What seems to be new is the documentation / collaboration / linking of evidence from interviews, reports releases, court documents, and foi requests to replicate a still classified document Nunes put together. My remembrance is Nunes team did a 37 page classified report, and the 3 reporters interviewed different people that did the report that were only allowed access under cia control, rebuilt it, and then looked for evidence to prove the assertions. Once they had a road map, it sounded like it was relatively easy, just a lot of work, to find public collaborating information.

And he also showed all the at the time propaganda, I mean News coverage, that was done. His observation is it’s taken 2-8 years for information to be released to show the lies of Russiagate. He is very upset that the bad coverage is being ignored, no mea culpas, when new evidence has appeared that contradicts the assertions.

The whole crooked lot of them were in on it. Every damn one of those you list, plus more. This whole Russia hoax nonsense is what awakened me to just how awful and unlawful the government had become. Oh, at the time I was so consumed with following and understanding the whole sordid affair. I naively was expecting that surely there would be consequences as the truth came out. Heads would roll. The culpable would pay. Alas, my faith in righteousness was shattered. Then the WuHu Flu came along, followed by the summer of St. George and the resulting peaceful protests. This of course culminated in the selection of the candidate with the most mail in ballots in the nation’s history. Most popular Resident ever!! Don’t believe my lying eyes. I left out the Ukie war to save democracy and the ME in flames. What a long strange trip it’s been. And we’ve only just begun. More to come.

Let’s return to the odious Chuck Schumer who snarked “the intel community has six ways to Sunday at getting back at you” had to be in on it. He knew what was going on, but I guarantee you he would lie through his teeth to deny he knew anything. However, the question is why would he reveal such a thing besides hubris and and the confidence of a psychopath.
