The thing I don't get is why Merkel, on her way out, as her very last act, wants to shut down the economy of the country and all freedoms of its citizens even after she is gone. Is that the legacy she wants? Why would she care so much about shutting things down? Why wouldn't she leave that decision to her successor and retire gracefully? Has someone or some organization pressured her to do this?

She is expected to make a play for President of the European Commission — essentially chief executive of the EU.

It always seems to come down to money, doesn't it? But are such people as Merkel totally bereft of conscience? I'm not ruling out other forms of pressure, as immensely immoral as things already have been shown to be.

My belief is that she has always been close to the WEF. When Soros moved out of Budapest, too, he moved to Berlin.

I sure don't get these lockdowns. Its like some people get power and the immediately go for the throat. They have zero control over themselves and think of nothing better than throwing all their people in to detention. I have a full control let me show you by forcing you into detention. Now grovel before me and beg for each small freedom.
