I don’t usually do a post that basically solicits comments, but here goes.
I haven’t been able to confirm this, but …

BREAKING:
Looks like Texas won
An official with the federal government told Fox News that they will no longer be removing the razor wire established by Texas.
Texas has won this dispute with the federal government, and the federal government is now seriously undermined.

Megatron has proven to be a reliable source. He cites Fox News, although I couldn’t pull up the story. Let’s go with this, because to me it’s plausible—TX is actually in a strong position, politically, and in a very practical sense has a strong moral position that will resonate with a substantial majority of Americans of all persuasions. In that light, it makes sense that, especially in an election year and with the American Empire backfooted on the international stage, the Zhou regime would back down. They can’t afford to provide Trump with this issue for the election.
Obviously, the Uniparty federal government loses. It seems to me that CJ Roberts and Justice Amy also lose—big time. They played this wrong. Again, the issues are complicated from a constitutional standpoint, but the fact that the regime is ignoring immigration law in a systematic way for socio-political purposes should have been a clear warning to them to play for time. TX has defied the SCOTUS—that is not a position that the SCOTUS should have placed itself in.
The Dem party seems to me to also be a big loser on this one. Even if Zhou is displaced for one reason or another, the new candidate would be called upon to address this situation. How convincingly can they distance themselves? On the other hand, conservatives may gain standing among at least a certain percentage of Americans who may have previously had reservations. They gain standing by protecting ordinary Americans whose safety and financial well being is being directly threatened by the ruling class.
Cynical maybe but it all looks like distraction from defeat in Ukraine and shaming in Gaza.
Shelby Park? How big is that?
Roberts was trying to do the minimum to avoid a controversial ruling that would upset Democrats and their media friends, and did not expect Texas to defy him. Conservatives usually just roll over.
