But here’s Michael Caputo—well experienced in how political campaigns operate—explaining command and control of oppo research:

That manager-level Clinton campaign W-2 reported to a director-level W-2 who also knows EVERYTHING. That director reported up to senior-most ranks who know everything too but could plausibly try to claim they didn’t.
But the director would have to cover for them, lie to the FBI.
All those involved in the Clinton campaign conspiracy to lie & move the willing FBI to establish a federal investigation of the Trump campaign (to distract from Clinton email FBI inquiry) met regularly around a conference table, likely at @PerkinsCoieLLP.
Who was at that table?
Sussmann knows. Jake Sullivan knows. Jennifer Palmieri knows. Robby Mook knows. Marc Elias knows. Did I mention that Hillary knows, too?
John Durham is all ears.
This "total command & control" campaign model perfectly describes everything we know about Hillary's campaign. She was a "control freak" -- hence the reason for her conducting all her SoS business over her private server, to keep grubby little FOIA requests from being able to look over her shoulder. During her last campaign, recall her minions ran a rope around reporters at one event to prevent them from making "unauthorized" contact with anyone during her campaign event!
Nothing as important as frame trump with a fake smear during a campaign would be left to chance by Control Freak Hillary; Caputo's description of it would work rings so true.
Or, as I like to say, "roast pigeon does not fly into your mouth." It was all carefully orchestrated, though it could have been orchestrated in a fashion with cut-outs to protect the really guilty.
Hillary's been awfully quiet lately. No advice to McAuliffe not to concede until he could "find" enough "lost" ballots? No "we wuz robbed" so we need a recount in Virginia? Dense as she is, I think even Hillary finally gets the message that she's poison to the New Improved Democratic Socialist Party and that they won't cover for her when Durham comes calling because she's not Ideologically Pure.
