Great thing about gangrene is, up to a certain point, you can stop it by simply cutting off a limb. This is in the bloodstream.

Dare I suggest the ruling elite is mistaken. They think this way, and they think that any other way of thinking must be through ignorance. The masses turned out for President Trump. The masses voted for President Trump. Of course the election had to be fortified to achieve a proper result. Religion does exist for a large segment of the American public, and it is not a man-made construct. You cannot regulate something that comes from a superior power. Family exists, and even communities exist in places. You can preach 'woke' and even arrange things so that is all you hear, but that doesn't mean the masses are buying it. What you can do is create a divide between the government and the public. The public not only outnumbers the ruling elite, they also are the productive elements that sustain the Country. Try governing without them, especially if you oblige them to keep their thoughts to themselves, and you have no way of knowing what they are up to.

See - this is the whole thing; the misnomer “public” schools is a misdirect for what they really are - “govt” schools which will inculcate/indoctrinate your kid into whatever they see fit & you can go screw yourself & shut up if you dare object.

And -sadly - it’s not just go govt schools: “woke” elite prep schools have gone the same way. Faddish sadly. A parent - thank God I’m not one - have to really be aware of what’s being forced on their kids.

To Schlichter’s point that "The elite needs a quasi-religious justification to feel superior, and if it is not divine right that grants them that dispensation, it must be their own inherent superiority" - I submit the following Ann Barnhardt essay, which someone graciously linked to on KD's blog today:

https://www.barnhardt.biz/2021/10/18/on-why-diabolical-narcissists-like-hillary-clinton-want-to-get-caught-and-it-isnt-for-the-reason-you-think/

Perhaps Kurt read this one. It is the best explanation of leftist narcissistic ruling class/oligarchy psychology I have ever read (and we certainly have seen a lot written about "malignant" narcissism the last number of years). I am interested to hear your take on this sometime, Mark, at your convenience, if you have not already addressed it in my ignorance.

Now, about the subsidence of the influence of religion on society and parents' apparent abrogation of responsibility for the education of their children. When both parents are working, and one of them is working 70 hours or more per week, there is no time for them to educate their own children or to track their education. Add to that, when baseball and football practice are scheduled on Sunday mornings, well... so much for Sunday School. It is a question of what parents have thought they needed to do to satisfy themselves and their children vs. what they really needed to do. They were misled, made their choices, and we as a society all suffering the consequences because of it. But I blame the media, corporations, and government as much as I do any parents over the last 50 years. This American society set a trap and the parents fell in: Give your kids stuff and we promise that is all they need to be happy. The only exit is a return to knowledge of and faith in God.

Heck, I attended elementary school in the late '60s and early 70's. Even then they had us singing the UN theme song and pledging allegiance to world peace. I never told my parents about this. How would I know it was abnormal? How would my parents ever know what was going on if I didn't tell them? Etc., etc. until today. Still, it is not too late.

Meanwhile, homeschooling's up, what, 300% over the past two years? Not all parents are so credulous. Alternative narrative (and vocabulary) around the state institutions of compulsory indoctrination have been available for a long time, and are being rediscovered by a growing minority, by no means all of whom are Christian fundamentalists. I like to refer people to the works of one-time NY State Teacher of the Year John Taylor Gatto: https://archive.org/details/JohnTaylorGattoTheUndergroundHistoryOfAmericanEducationBook

As the brain drain continues, the government schools get steadily worse. And of course it's the poorest kids, with the most compliant and disengaged parents, who suffer the brunt of this downward spiral. The rich woke elite were hell-bent on handing down their values to their kids anyway, but most of the damage being done is sheerly collateral.

Anyway, like election fraud and endemic corruption in the federal agencies, this creeping deployment of government education for totalitarian political ends is not a new issue in the US, nor have we lacked warnings. That it is now getting more widespread attention is long overdue.
