Many of us in the UK already knew that our armed services as a whole are a joke. And Starmer may wrap himself in the Union Jack but he's the mouse that roared. Pathetic but dangerous...A pity he has done nothing for Brits except increase the surveillance and give free rein to one of the world's most corrupt police forces the Met.
Taiwan actually is a country. But they have the same culture as most Asian countries. Actually most non US countries, but it is more ingrained in the orient than any where else. And that culture has no regard for the individual nor his life. I was working for a company that was trying to sell new state of the art equipment to the world. We had a huge potential customer from Taiwan visiting to discuss our machine tool. He was the CTO and wanted to know how our tool was automated. Our company had not gotten to that point and this CTO prick was dressing us down because he did not have operators that could reliably run our machine. He asked why we did not have the machine automated to not need an operator because, “ operator stupid!”. Well, this arrogant prick couldn’t run our machine either without someone like me. No point in pushing back against him, so we just tried to say we could automate our tool in the future. This is over 25 years ago and it still pisses me off about this prick. And I have other stories from associates that worked on equipment in the Asian countries that are just like this. This cultural attitude will always prevent them from successfully competing against the US. That is why we need to be destroyed. But it may not be that easy.
Yeah, I suppose. But the Chinese would be much more inclined to let Taiwan be if it weren't for the fact that it would make a good staging area for U.S. military operations against them and we seem to be taking advantage of that fact. We are arming Taiwan and have troops there.
More specifically, according to Newsweek and the Wall Street Journal there are U.S. troops on Kinmen (Quemoy) Island which is 6.5 miles off the Chinese coast and near the port of Xiamen, a major Chinese seaport and part of a metropolitan area of 10 million people.
We can say that there aren't enough troops to cause trouble and they're just there for training purposes but how do you think the presence of Chinese troops on an island near the mouth of Puget Sound would go over in DC?
Re: Colby, I stopped listening to Mark Levin many years ago, occasionally tune in to see if he's changed for the better. To date he has not. In the last 2 or 3 days he spoke at length about Colby. He said he "and others" at first were very alarmed by Colby who seemed not to favor endless US wars. So Levin was anxious to hear Colby's most recent views and was relieved to find that Colby has altered his views, is now on the side that Levin favors. Levin mocks terms like "neocon," so I'll just say he favors endless enslavement of US taxpayers to the world.
Ditto. Levin, like most of the tribe are first and foremost, Israel firsters and fully vested in forever wars. That he mocks the term neocon is why I find him unworthy of my time.
President Trump is certainly heading in the right direction, one step at a time, but he won’t produce lasting reform unless he disengages from Israel and Taiwan and abolishes central banking from American soil and restores the job of managing American currency to Congress, where it belongs.
Well. for those of us who thought (OK...hoped...in the face of an established course of conduct from DJT) that Trump's Gaz-a-Lago idea was simply a negotiating feint to get the Arab world to step in and rebuild Gaza on their dime as a home for their fellow Arabs, it seems that Palestinian removal is still very much the plan:
Netanyahoo is the devil incarnate. I suspect that Hamas and similar organizations are actually financed and fomented by Israel to serve as an excuse for the planned Palestinian genocide, and that Trump stomped on them in preparation for disengaging from Israel, which no longer serves Empire purposes. But hey, that is only my guesstimate of the situation.
All true, but these people also seem to be cheapskates who have hijacked the government to make it pay for their propaganda. They seem to select weak spots where they can make the most of their Schekels, such as George Soros bribing prosecutors to promote crime. If Trump can cut off all their sneaky parasitism, I suspect their mischief would be sharply constrained. All we can do is complain and watch; after all, we are little more than the black stuff between the elephant’s toes----slow natives.
So the Brits get told they can’t share intel with Ukraine AND the Russians are reasonably requesting a lifting of sanctions - Whitehall must be in full freak out mode.
Not just the spooks and foreign office chaps but Starmer very ill-advisedly announced last weekend that the UK's loan package to Ukraine for weapons contracts (as the weapons don't actually exist..) will be secured by the returns on the frozen Russian reserve assets (ie illegal expropriation).
A whole bunch of loans have already been made on this basis, and if they have to be returned, the lenders (UK and European Countries) will be way down the Swanee river, without any paddles (so to speak)
Hope the “reserves” have been hypothecated and rehypothecated countless times (easy to do when you rely on “clever” lawyers) — and that it all crashing down on the City of London and its synogogues.
having been on receiving end God will not be mocked -- pride, or maybe, if not outright the lack of proper humility to see beyond our own understanding or our prefeerences, will often be confronted in most uncomfortable ways - T may be her thorn in the side and ultimately her stumbling block to wisdom; I pray it happens soon.
is there another case en route for CJ R to clip wings of deep state? the dissent seems to give a much preferred route to let the facts/case be decided without forcing the premature release of funds, which is the ultimate remedy the NGO seeks anyhow -- and to give to non parties too? really disappointing, have we lost ACB for good, wonder what she thought of T last night?
This is part of why I stressed that each case will depend on different facts. What is really disappointing and outrageous--as I understand the brief snippets I've seen--is that the majority appears to dodge the issue of jurisdiction. In my understanding this case should have been handled by the US Court of Claims and not by a District Court. I believe that's what Alito is really stunned by.
There will be many more of these cases, but Amy seems to be cementing the view of her as a lightweight, and Roberts as political.

For someone who is supposed to be retired, it looks like a full time job keeping up with all these daily, hourly changing events.
Thanks Mark, your reporting is a great distillation of it all.
LOL! My wife says when I was working I got weekends off and vacations. Call it a compulsion.
Taiwan needs to allow their population to be armed, and go to the Swiss military model, instead of trying to be a small U.S. Military
Quite informative
Taiwan shouldn't spend anything on defense. Taiwan isn't a country. We all agreed to that 45 years ago. How much does Hawaii spend on defense?

I think there's some major over simplification going on here that the US would be unwise to rely upon in conducting its foreign policy.

Levin and Hannity's reactions to the Ukraine War was their death knell for me.

Israel is trying to get war started up again ASAP. Challenge for Trump.

Way way too early to rush to judgment. Please resist the urge to practice self-gratification.

Certainly possible. Net is a repulsive thing, unfortunately his crowd is very schekelreich.
Empire of shekels, good one

Outstanding once again Mark. Better news roundup than any MSM.
Let me refer your readers again to my recent piece "The British Empire is Alive. It Aims to Destroy the US." https://montanarcc.substack.com/p/the-british-empire-is-alive-it-aims
I'll be reprising the history of the disastrous "special relationship" soon on my Three Sages Substack.
Chiseled in Amy’s cheekbones last night were her disapproval and disdain for president Trump. Hard to miss.
Ice cream Coney?
Lovely!! Dripping!!
