Because everything important seems to be connected. The story that’s got everyone freaking out today is that wholesale inflation is even worse than the consumer price index from yesterday. That means that, six months or so down the road, the economy will be even more of a sh*t show than it already is. You can read KD discussing what we’re heading into here:

I am sad and outraged to think of the ongoing costs of U.S. fiscal profligacy, schizophrenic monetary policy, and governmental attacks on the energy industry under the Biden admin - both to energing markets and to us. We will be paying with stagflation (sporadic alternations of inflation and tightening/recession) indefinitely... until the government war on energy ends and production capacity increases are allowed and made feasible. That will not even possibly begin until until the Biden admin (or the Kamala admin) ends, at the earliest. So we are already looking at a lost decade economically (like the '70s) even if the WEF globalists do not outright take us and Europe over and abolish private property. Also sad to see the tremendous gains made in the M.E. for peace under Trump totally squandered.
It is just possible that Powell does not want to go down in history as the man who crashed the system, and is disregarding politics in an effort to save the system. Better obliterate the global economy than face the prospect of no viable economy to speak of in the future. Since the Administration has no intention of reversing their energy policy, which would in one shot improve our productivity and reduce inflation, our debt must be reduced before we face insolvency. The stock market seems to be easing its way down so any potential crash will be less catastrophic. If our debt can do the same...
As for the Biden diplomatic jaunt, it will be a huge success. Just wait for our media reports!
Happy Bastille Day ! Great you picked this up Mark! Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy - the Left, Right and center all unite to defend individual freedom (not a commonly held concept in France…) and deliver to the “tedious bore” (!) a terrific defeat! The PM is just insufferable though. (https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/macrons-minority-government-defeated-vaccine-passports)
Happy Bastille Day! When I was living in Paris after my Army service the French could do the darndest things. Pushing milk instead of wine could bring down the government, no matter how successful you might be in affronting the Vietnam or Algerian problems. Never thought our government would be run on 'virtual reality' rather than pragmatism.
Exactly! How many times, in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election, did I say to those around me: I am confident that Trump will win a clear majority -- perhaps a LARGE majority -- of the LEGITIMATE votes. My very great worry is that the Democrats will manage to carry out election fraud to such a vast extent that it will actually alter the outcome.
It's Like Steve Bannon keep[s saying, We the People need to step up, it is OUR Republic to to reinstate, he, Trump, nobody can do it for us. I pray they have awakened US and filled US with resolve. Let's Win!
Re the UK leadership contest: yes Bojo was a tool of Davos, but a half hearted one. He blew it for them when he insisted on unlocking the country in July 21. He could barely bring himself to say vax mandates would be coming in - he fudged his answer to that and when he was put out to ramp up the fear over Omicron and urge the populous to get vaxxed he just sounded false and a little desperate. His fate was sealed at that point and shortly afterward the MSM began its blitz on the scandals. Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt are the current favourites to get through to the final pick and both of them have their pictures up on the WEF site. Westminster insiders exposed the fact that Rishi was planning his campaign since December and on the day Bojo resigned was ready to go with a slick campaign video to release while Penny is quoted to have been quietly working in the background for months. So both were 'mobilised' when the decision to ditch Bojo was taken. The way the Tory leadership rules work only 2 candidates are put to the party membership to vote on so this is a case of Davos playing "Heads I win Tails you lose"...unless enough MPs get behind someone other than these 2 the UK will remain on the carousel.
What's with Israel giving Zhou the equivalent of the Presidential Medal of Freedom?

Excellent roundup! I am so happy to see the Europeans finally rising up and confronting their evil leaders. Love this scene - Viva l'Italia!:

Now I hope this is repeated in Amsterdam.

Brilliant line about Zhou on his excellent ME adventure. That is comedy GOLD. George Carlin's spirit is smiling, Bill & Ted approve.

November has me scarred s---less! That is it, if we fail they win and it's gonna get ugly eliminating those of us who resist the globe.
there's no way we fail - all of mid-term history and current polling scream rout on a historic scale
but for those execrable machines!
But wait... there's more... https://thefederalist.com/2022/07/07/good-government-groups-ask-state-officials-to-stop-bidens-federal-takeover-of-elections/
That's how we felt in 2020, the Cheat will be like an ally fight, I am hopeful but never underestimate you enemy.
