Thank you brother for the feedback. I can only wish you the best in the years to come. The concerns and questions we have are the same. We find our selves in a strange world trying to figure out where we are going. All of your questions are mine also. Good luck, God's Speed and hopefully, in the end, a better world. Maybe, if we are lucky, we will get a chance to see each other on the other side.

Men need to be led/cultivated so I don't blame people wholly. Christiandom really started to go downhill with movers and shakers like Machiavelli, Locke, Hobbes, Adam Smith, Malthus and other dog eat dog philosophers advising the elites. Christian Virtues were being replaced starting about 500 years ago and wholly today. Make no mistake though comes from top down.

I think so-called enlightenment/Age of Reason was an outgrowth a reaction to constant attacks from the Muslims. We got so war like, after booting the moors. we conquered the world and were particularly nasty. Very non-christian by that time even though we carried a cross. Kinda like the Clan.

Difficult to pursue the common good when there is no longer anything common.

With immigration there is no longer a common language, religion or worldview.

In the book of Jasher Nimrod smashes the skull of an infant (substituted for Abraham) because he was told by the court astrologers the infant would usurp his power. The story seems apt for modern times.

So, you get to the root cause of all our problems. The elites have no moral compass. They have only one prime directive. "Take care of themselves". And because they believe that there is no God,

all things are permissible.

Is this where we are at? An empty Dorian Gray, whose true soul is finally and slowly being revealed: showing, a corrupt, decaying, evil, disjointed, confederation of a slime ball ruling class?

Therefore, it is obvious that, In this sorry state affairs, our elites cannot lead. They cannot solve our problems, because they caused the problems and are the problem.

As the crisis of our times gathers strength, more of their criminal negligence and selfish behavior will be revealed.

Therefore, as before, in the end: we must ask the question of the ages.

Quo Vadis.?

The answer to that eternal question is always the same, whether we live in good or bad times. It is the answer of the world-weary author of the Book of Ecclesiastes: Fear God and keep his commandments. Leave the evil people to their evil.

Alastair Crooke on the French results:

The mess is MUCH worse than Macron had planned.

Planned is the key word. Was Macron banking that after a few years of loony left and 'fascist' right wingers the electorate will crawl back to his version of the centre with their tail between their legs? Problem may be that there will not be a recognisable France by then - at least not a France that is a figurehead of the EU.

It's hard to escape the feeling that France is doomed. "Left" and "Right" are far more visceral terms in France than they are in most other European nations. For both sides, it's still the 1930s (hence the return of the "Popular Front" name) and they hate each other's guts. It's quite funny listening to the French MSM talk about the "extreme" Right while ignoring the fact the the Left includes cosy, unthreatening folks like Melanchon and the PCF (Parti Communist Francais). The continual blocking of the Right from power will only build up pressure in the system. One day it will blow.

Mercouris interprets the recent Parliamentary elections as the marriage of Frankenstein and a Zombie, the grab-bag, fractious and “incoherent force” of the New Front Populaire with Macron’s exhausted and discredited party, all to keep the RN out. To stop Le Pen, they’ve created chaos, which seems to be the “order”of the day. Great discussion on the Duran.

The Swiss system has worked well because the power of the central government is limited by the federalised system of cantons, and by the fact that almost every important issue or decision is subject to a referendum. However, what John Adams said about democracy in general applies even more so to direct democracy and referenda: they only work if you have a moral people. I used to have complete faith in the Swiss people voting sensibly. However, the Swiss, like everyone else in the West, have been corrupted by our awful culture. Now, the results of our referenda are as unpredictable and volatile as SCOTUS decisions, and our mass media subjects voters to very aggressive propaganda.
