End Of The Week Covid Wrap

This seems like a good time to do a Covid wrap-up, because news is pouring in that shows that the so-called vaccines are not only not terribly effective but that vaccinees may actually be driving a recent global surge. There is also news that tends to downplay the threat from Covid. All of this coming shortly before mandates are due to go into effect—amid increasing opposition—as well as with court challenges increasingly serious court challenges, couldn’t happen at a better time.

Since many of these articles are heavy on statistical analysis I’ll try to keep summaries short and to the point.

The first article summarizes 22 studies from around the world, but here’s the gist of these studies:

The research is in: COVID jabs are ineffective at preventing coronavirus infections

Twenty-two further studies and reports provide evidence that the COVID-19 injections are failing in their advertized purpose.

(Brownstone Institute) – The evidence is pouring in that the COVID-19 vaccines are not as efficacious as advertised against the Delta variant that became dominant in the fall of 2021. The Delta is learning how to thrive. The evidence has further accumulated to show that the vaccinated are showing viral loads (very high) similar to the unvaccinated, and the vaccinated are equally as infectious.

The gestalt of the findings implies that the infection explosion globally – post double vaccination e.g. Israel, UK, US etc. – that we have been experiencing may be likely due to the possibility that the vaccinated are driving the epidemic/pandemic and not the unvaccinated. We have been vaccinating against the wild-type virus that is no longer a pressing concern, even if the vaccine data so far suggests effectiveness for the demographic most susceptible to severe outcomes.

The data seems to suggest that the infection is 50:50 (vaccinated versus unvaccinated) while the U.K. is reporting 70% of deaths in the vaccinated (Delta variant) though there is debate on differential based on < 50 versus >50 years old. It appears that it is the vaccinated who are getting infected and thus transmitting the virus at a far greater rate. This unravels the demand for universal vaccine passports.

All of this goes to the question of whether there is any rational basis for virtually all elements of the Covid Regime.

As more ‘vaccines’ are injected into Americans’ arms, ‘breakthrough’ COVID cases are increasing

The total number of breakthrough deaths for the nation is likely in the 10,000 to 20,000 range. And it is rising as more vaccinated people have declining vaccine effectiveness.

This article relies heavily on stats from a DoD study of 5.6 million medicare recipients. As such, of course, it’s a snapshot but, given the deliberately obfuscated state of Covid Regime data collection it’s better than most pools of data.

The CDC's New 'Best Estimate' Implies a COVID-19 Infection Fatality Rate Below 0.3%

That rate is much lower than the numbers used in the horrifying projections that shaped the government response to the epidemic.

This article also tries to sort through intentionally misleading data put out by our government. It also reviews multiple studies from around the world. However, this will give a flavor for the content:

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the current "best estimate" for the fatality rate among Americans with COVID-19 symptoms is 0.4 percent. The CDC also estimates that 35 percent of people infected by the COVID-19 virus never develop symptoms. Those numbers imply that the virus kills less than 0.3 percent of people infected by it—far lower than the infection fatality rates (IFRs) assumed by the alarming projections that drove the initial government response to the epidemic, including broad business closure and stay-at-home orders.

That "best estimate" scenario also assumes that 35 percent of infections are asymptomatic, meaning the total number of infections is more than 50 percent larger than the number of symptomatic cases. It therefore implies that the IFR is between 0.2 percent and 0.3 percent. By contrast, the projections that the CDC made in March, which predicted that as many as 1.7 million Americans could die from COVID-19 without intervention, assumed an IFR of 0.8 percent. Around the same time, researchers at Imperial College produced a worst-case scenario in which 2.2 million Americans died, based on an IFR of 0.9 percent.

According to research published yesterday in Nature. To be clear, this “heavily mutated”variant (called A.30) exists in the wild and has been found in patients on at least two continents.

It overcomes both the mRNA and DNA/AAV vaccines, the researchers say.

Don’t worry, though. Remember when Dr. Fauci told you mutated SARS-COV-2 variants that could beat the vaccines would spread within months? He did! He totally did!

Everything will be fine.

Playing vaccine whack-a-mole with a respiratory virus never made any sense. Which tells you that it was never really about the science. Or public health.

Covid didn’t crash the health-care system…

But the vaccine mandates might.

Because it’s all about public health, you savvy? Not a toxic mix of ego and politics that has run completely off the rails despite mountains of contrary evidence. PuBLic HEaLtH!

And everyone knows you can’t spell health without mRNA vaccine. Just don’t get sick, mmmkay?

He’s referring to reports from New York on the massive scale of resistance to the de Blasio mandates among Police and Firefighters—as many as 20% of ambulances may not be available. Crime and fire? Deal with it yourself. One commenter writes:

"People too scared to work last year got unemployment benefits, stimulus checks and free housing. People who never stopped working get fired and denied all benefits."

Land of the free and home of the brave? Or is it: You will own nothing but you’ll be happy—trust me!

Berenson includes an interesting story from a correspondent—he reproduces the emails. His correspondent just got an email inquiry from a NY hospital—referencing a previous application—asking the person to apply for a job. That previous application was made in 2015. The person adds, Who can imagine how bad the job scene at NY hospitals must be if they’re combing through old job applications from six years ago?

Finally …

Hey, remember when Denmark had beaten Covid thanks to the miracle of vaccines?

It was last month. But that was then, this is now…

So, yeah, way back in September, the Danes were in the happy vaccine valley and decided to drop all coronavirus restrictions.

Which led to an entirely predictable set of stories (they were identical to the stories written about Israel and Britain in the spring, because the media learns nothing, ever, about the ro).

Yay Denmark! Yay vaccines! Yay sciencey science! Boo red states! Boo mean no good very bad anti-vaxxers!

This morning there were reports of the Danish “Health” Minister making churlish threats to shut the whole freaking country down again if more people—more than the current 80%—don’t get injected.

The Danish health minister is threatening to “shut down society” if more people don’t get vaccinated after the country experienced a COVID spike despite over 75 per cent of the population being fully vaccinated.

As we highlighted on Monday, Denmark just suffered its worse COVID case load since May, while the virus reproduction (R number) also jumped to 2.01, which is the highest level since January.

Over 75 per cent of Denmark’s 5.8 million inhabitants have been fully vaccinated.

Despite the fact that 85 per cent of people over the age of 12 are vaccinated, Denmark has seen more than 1,000 daily cases of COVID for a week straight.

Now authorities are threatening to “shut down society,” according to opposition party health spokesman Martin Geertsen, if more Danes don’t take the shot.

“If we are to keep Denmark open, we must have more people get the vaccine,” said Health Minister Magnus Heunicke

Although Heunicke said the vaccine would remain voluntary, he ominously warned the unvaccinated that their refusal to get the jab “no longer works.”

Geertsen said the government was breaking its promise to eliminate lockdowns once a high proportion of the population had been vaccinated, adding that Heunicke was sending a “completely wild message.”

Berenson goes on to make fun of these knuckleheads running supposedly enlightened, science loving countries:

Same thing is happening in the rest of north-central Europe, by the way.

The failure of their policy to work as promised has made the Danish public health authorities grumpy (rather than ashamed, which seems like a more natural response, but part of being a public health expert means never having to say you’re sorry, much less admit you’re wrong).

And when the public health authorities get grumpy, we all know what’s next on the horizon. Lockdowns, baby, lockdowns!

It was all totally predictable. In fact, actual experts in the field did predict it. But that didn’t stop Big Pharma and Big Money from cashing in.

What a great world.
